Heaven.. Really. It's for Real, and There's a Way!

There is a good way and he has a name. Jesus. There is a heaven to gain and there is a hell to avoid.

Did ya know that heaven is mentioned in the Bible over 500 times.. sure it is. In Old Testament the word is shamayim meaning the heights. In the New Testament heaven is ouranos (pronounced oo-ran-os') and it inspired the name of that planet.

Heaven is far better than primo cuz Jesus and His love for you is. Hell was made for fallen angels, not for you or for other people. But for some strange reason lots of people are stubbornly opting to go there ...by rejecting God's only provision for their sin -- Jesus Christ. Go for Him.
There is no purgatory. Where do you find that?
And who needs Karma? Not me. We all just reap what we sow. But we can have the third heaven for free. Yes, there are 3 heavens. You don't earn a higher heaven or any heaven, but read in the Bible how the Apostle Paul was caught up into paradise. Yep, “into the third heaven”.
You know there’s the blue sky (or atmospheric heaven), there’s the night sky (Gen 1:14-17). And the stellar heaven too (that’s the second heaven), but then there there’s God’s home the Heaven of Heavens.
There are those that believe that Heaven is nothing more than a state of mind. Others say that Heaven is whatever goodness you can grab hold of in this life. But Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. Let me give you three simple reasons why heaven is an actual place.

1. Jesus came from Heaven. John 6:38
2. Jesus returned to Heaven. 1 Peter 3:22
3. Jesus is coming again from Heaven. 1 Thessalonians 4:16

Every time the Bible mentions Heaven, it speaks of it as a real place. Paul says that we believers can look forward to Heaven with confidence because it has been promised us. See 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

-- The Lord Jesus is coming for us.

-- We are going to be caught up to meet Him in the 2nd heaven.

-- Then we will be with Him forever.

– in Heaven. That’s God’s promise. 1 Peter 1:3-5

There will be a rapture of the Church, and wrath during the Great Tribulation, a judgement seat of Christ and a Great White Throne Judgement and there are places called hell and heaven. Jesus told us about both. And Peter did too -- he even links together the words hope and Heaven for us. And he tells us something more about God’s promise of Heaven.

--He calls it an inheritance. It comes to us at no cost to ourselves.
-- No down payment, realtor fees or closing costs.
-- No mortgage payments, property taxes, or fear of foreclosure.
-- It’s God’s free gift to the Believer.

Are you enjoying life more abundantly -- life during your life here, or are you just bored out of your gourd? Eternal life is real, it is reserved for us up in Heaven, and we are kept by the power of God for it.
Heaven is promised, and it’s God’s own power that guarantees the promise will be fulfilled.

It’s sorta like how you deal with a hotel. You make your reservations in advance

Teacher to her Class: Q. How do we get to heaven?
Boy pupil: A. Ya have to be dead.
Yup believer. That’s how it goes for you.

Q. How many people die?

A. Until the time of the Rapture, one out of every one persons will die. Worldwide…

-- 3 people per second die.

-- 180 people per minute die.

-- Nearly 11,000 every hour die.

-- 250,000 people everyday die and go to either heaven or to hell.

A 2003 Harris Poll States That: 82% of Americans believe in a place called heaven, and 63% say they expect to go there.

All have sinned, so what will you do with it? No unforgiven sinner gets in to God’s holy heaven.
God’s has a book, and in it are recorded the names of everyone who has turned (repented) and trusted (by faith) in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me.”
Come as you are. Not to me or a religion. Come to God the Father through Jesus the Son. Turn and trust Him. Now is good. The door to Heaven is wide open and welcoming now, but the only way to enter is by putting your faith in Jesus Christ to save you. Jesus is not A way among many ways, but He’s THE way. God took your sin debt and placed them on Jesus. He died in your place. And when you trust Him as your Savior, God no longer looks upon you as a sinner. He writes your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life and the Bible says that He for-gets your sin.

Jesus said, "While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 9:4

We enjoy abundant life, eternal life today, but why do we still desire to reflect Christ's light in this dark world? We want others to enjoy a life of forgiveness and love. Why do we pray for Mormons, for JWs or for other cultists and unbelievers who have great value to God. Why do we pray for the not yet spiritually born again ..religious people like Catholics or Jews or Muslims etc? Why do we go tactfully share the Gospel with them with Christ's love? Here's why...

One day soon there will be a prosecutor, but there'll be no defender for the lost; an accuser but no more advocates for em.

The lost will not be allowed to quibble over their good deeds done, or over their guilt or innocence.

There'll be an indictment, but no defense mounted by the accused. The convicting evidence will wisely be presented with no cross-examination. There will be no sympathetic or unsympathetic jury.

There will be no appeal of the final sentence once it's pronounced.

The night is coming when no man can work. The guilty will be punished eternally with no possibility of parole in some prison from which there is no escape, banished for all eternity. The Lost will be without God, without His kind agape love, without any hope at all.
