What do you need, dream about, hope and long for.. to be added, to be given to you? Ask. “But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God, and all these things will be given to you also.”

If I may..I challenge you to keep seekin' your Lord today. Like regarding truth.., seeking with all your mind, your all heart, all your life. Seek with earnest prayers like on all your future decisions.

More than anything else, put your first love Lord ..first.. ahead of it all. See Him and His plan for you, His will for you, yes, following closely after Jesus. See His Person, his heartbeat for the lost world, and seek His wisdom too. Ask. Seek in this first-love relationship. Let's put biblical worship of Him first! Yep, priority number one.

Put your spouse second, then comes family, and then God's work or ministry for you in there too. That's a good order with Jesus first -- He'll meet all your needs. His will for you is SO important. Everyday put Him first -- wisely apply the Bible, Go back to the Lord for all the specifics you need to start, to go, to minister. Yes, do what the Lord wants you to do starting today as if there was no yesterday. Be in character, in attitude, and with all your deeds who God wants you to be in His Son. Keeping Him first. Avoid all that He wants you to stay away from, to ditch or to resist -- I mean any the pet sins and other sins/wrong doings. Then guess what.. all the other things ya need will be yours. He will bless you and make you a blessing. He will equip you so you can equip other believers.

Set your heart on knowing and following Christ, yes, on knowin' and making Him and His Message known. Yes, His Kingdom, His love, His grace, truth and kind goodness known.

Be concerned above all else with] God’s kingdom and ·what God want for you in His will

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33 NLT

Happy Valentines Day! It was 39 years ago today I popped the question by a nice lake, and Liney responded with YES. So glad she did! Added unto. Thanks Lord. Thank you too, Liney. It took us 7 whole weeks just to be sure.

“..and he will give them to you (all you need..) if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to.“ LTB

“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.“ MSG

If you want your life to turn from loneliness, brokenness, emptiness to overflowing, then give Jesus complete control of your life, including your career.

An example of this is when Simon Peter let Jesus get into his boat so he could teach some people standing on the shore. The Bible says, “When [Jesus] had finished speaking, he said to Simon [Peter], ‘Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.’ Simon answered, ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets’” (Luke 5:4-5 NIV).

Then the Bible says, “When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink” (Luke 5:6-7 NIV).

If you want your life to turn from emptiness to overflowing, you’ve got to get Jesus in your boat.

What’s your boat? It’s how you make a living. Simon’s business was his boat because he was a fisherman. The boat represents your career, your profession, your job, just like it represented Simon Peter’s entire livelihood.

What does it mean to have Jesus in your boat?

It means you dedicate your career to God. I’m not talking about salvation here. You may have Jesus in your life, but have you given him control of your career?

You’ve trusted him for salvation and serve faithfully in your church. But when you go back to work during the week, is Jesus who you trust in your job? Or do you put Jesus on the shelf?

When Simon Peter gave his job to Jesus, he was blessed with incredible results. But don’t miss the sequence. We sometimes think, “God, make me really successful in business, and then I’ll serve you with the success.” Wrong! It’s the exact opposite. Peter first gave Jesus control of his job. Then Jesus blessed Peter’s job with enormous success. That’s the order.

The Bible says in Matthew 6:33, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need” (NLT).

When you want God to bless something, put him first in that area. You want God to bless your time? You give him the first part of every day. You want God to bless your money? You give him the first 10 percent of your income, no matter how small it is. You want God to bless your job? Give him control, no matter how successful you are.

Get Jesus in your boat, and you’ll see your life turn from empty to overflowing.

  • What would it look like if you gave control of your job to Jesus?
  • What are your fears or concerns about making God the center of your career?
  • How do you want God to bless you in your career? What do you think he wants you to do first?

Why be so preoccupied with getting, Getting, GETTING for you, so that you can’t respond to Jesus or to all of God’s giving? He delights to give freely. No earning your way into His will. Turn, trust, and receive His free gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Not tomorrow, now today is good. Respond in faith
