Perhaps..just perhaps we still have some days before us. Maybe we have a little time left to count the cost before we lay it all down -- a good thing to do. Too many presumptuous people feel that they have gobs of years, months, yes many years to do whatever they feel. They might, or might not. Look around, look up. Look around, look up.

“For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake..” Philippians 1:29 

In this sin-cursed fallen world here ..that’s unlike it was created and intended to be.. I’m not really sure that anyone can avoid some suffering. Life here can be pretty rough on people. Has it gone remarkably touch on you? Sorry about that -- I hate that. What’s cool is that there is Someone who can thoroughly comfort you to the very core of your being. Do you in Jesus’ name pause, ponder and pray for your hurting loved ones who have been ripped off in, or hit and run over by life? Sometimes it’s hard to talk even a little bit about the painful, awkward, or even embarrassing things, but God can handle any of it. 

Does your life feel empty, lonely, fearful? Has your life been barren, boring or dry? He knows a whole lot about desert regions.. inside people.. and in this world. You can still firsthand personally know his healing rain, his springs of refreshing, his powerful raging rivers of living water to bless others. 

Have you failed, been rejected, or burned? Still have some hope inside? I hope so. Do you ever just talk to talk about how hard it is to talk with him. He gets it.. totally understands and loves you gobs! Do you feel that he has anything good in store, any open door or good plan for you in the near or far off future? Do you feel unworthy for any of his blessings? He is so much better than even his best blessings and can address all that. I pray that you can honestly pray..and today receive his healing grace. 

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.“ Isaiah 43:19

Perhaps we still have some days before us. Maybe we have some time to count the cost -- a good thing to do. Believe. Doubt your doubts. Come just as you are... or come back to him as you are. Turn, trust, repent where needed. Arms are open wide. 

Close can be real good, if it’s tight with the Lord and his growing people, rather than too much time spent with bad company which only corrupts good morals. 

Come closer, yes walk close. Become strong and stronger on every level. Healthy spiritually. Growth is connected with him and brutal candor, yes and ongoing tender honesty. It's always, Always, A L W A Y S a good idea to pause and pray..or even pray when drivin’ down the road (eyes open please) especially when you feel worried, challenged, hopeless, ticked or frustrated.
