Musing on random stuff that's so.

"You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it." ~ Margaret Thatcher

Be sure to win it...in all the areas where you really need to win it. Yes, be empowered by the Spirit and walk in victory.
Plant seeds, water, reap.

“Laziness may appear attractive, but work gives satisfaction.” ~ Anne Frank

So sorry if you’ve been furloughed or laid off.  Really am.
We can still pray and work though.  We can wisely apply our faith based on the Bible.
The faith that you apply to see your own needs met by God is the same faith you can apply to help others seeing their needs met by God.
Trust Him. Let the Lord overtake you with His great PEACE (Psalm 119:165) today.

When the worries of life try to overwhelm, submerge or overcome you, just remember that you can find REST in God's loving arms.

Can you hear Him knockin'? Rev. 3:20
Good Friday, a week from this Friday. Good for us.

There’s nada, zip, null, nothin' that you can’t overcome with God on your side!
"For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." See 1 Jn. 5:4, Jn. 16:33, Rom. 8:37

Glad for that tree (the Cross) and Him who rescued me!
"A God-centered God [Jesus] created a God-centered cosmos that He saves by a God-centered cross." ~ John Piper

"The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. If a grain falls to the earth and dies it bears much fruit." John 12:23

The cradle, the cross, and the tomb are all empty -- Jesus lives! He is risen. Completely done!

It ain't a time clock or work boots. "Our symbol isn't a ladder, it's a cross." ~ Burk Parsons
The Message isn't: Do, it's: Done.

Bosses, Teachers, Bullies, Presidents, Religion says "Do." Jesus says "Done."
Am readin' Luke 24:12. It happened. Alive. Him for you! Did you know.. there are 332 Bible prophecies that were fulfilled in the life of Jesus Christ. So Accurate. God knew long ago.
And how can we know God's love? Well, this verse, 1 John 4:9, tells us that, "in this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him." God is love.
This is good time to be and live classy.
Why live self-centered?
Be classy in the Lord, I mean live righteously without a self-righteous attitude.
Among other things.. I'd say having "class" is knowing what to say, how to say it, when to say it, and when to stop saying it.
It also has to do with maintaining right motives and listening well. Sure, knowin' what to believe because it's true, it’s right, it’s good. Know why you believe it.. know how to think like in general, how to (others-oriented) behave yourself, and what attitude to have as you do, or don't do, and just be what you were always meant to be. See Luke 6:3.
Musin’ on that. It's for heart to heart communication and lasting relationship.
You and I believer are God's workmanship -- we can listen, speak and live like that as well. Be His poetry. The Bible says..
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
Back in the day when Paul said that you are God’s “workmanship” he meant it. So don’t think of your oldc ninth grade woodshop class project that had too many flaws. Think of The Odyssey, of Beowulf, of The Divine Comedy, of Paradise Lost, or of The Faerie Queen — great works of epic poetry.
Admit it. We all love excellent meaningful poetry! Might sound kinda strange, but there is poetic romance at the heart of the universe.. in God’s heart. There is a Bridegroom with pure motives that deeply loves you ..and more so than all who have ever loved you.
There is a real honest intimacy that we can cultivate in prayer (two way communication of love even today)
The Greek word Paul chose for this sentence is “poiema,” and what he had in mind is a work of masterful creativity. You can already tell that this is where we get our English word “poem.” Paul selected this word carefully. The only other time in Scripture he used it was in Romans 1:20:
"For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse."
You be a piece of work — God’s work. His beloved work.
There is nothing boring about you, or about Him. There is nothing boring about what God has given you to do today and in the future.

If you are bored, remember what Mr. Chesterton said: “We are perishing for want of wonder, not want of wonders.”

Muse on this true poetry as a good witness. God the Father has prepared just for you what He’s given you to do in this world (See Ephesians 2:10). No one you meet today is unimportant. Nothing you do today is unimportant. God is keenly interested in the smallest details. You don’t need a more sublime or wonderful calling; you may just need more insight, wisdom or strength to grasp.. to embrace.. to fully comprehend the wonder of God’s loving ways toward you (See Ephesians 3:17–19).

It’s a choice we make to.. Know God well and make Him and His Gospel well known.  ~ KurtwVs WeHeartIt -- the Word!

See what kind of love the Father has for us!

Believer, the shortest distance between here and the end of this nasty Coronavirus-period is the distance between your knees and the floor so to speak. Believing prayer to God the Father through Christ.
No Time For Doubt Or Fear At All. Believe. I Mean Pray Smart – Yes, Earnestly, Wholehearted, Biblically! It’s A Beautiful Relationship Thing. Simply Obey Him, Follow Close By The Spirit, Worship Jesus. Be Practical Today.
Yesterday our Governor Abbott ordered that all abortion clinics be shut down and that’s happening in other states as well. How great is that!..these murders cease.

Make the most of it in the Lord. Him and others in mind. Yeah, we don’t always get the best, but we make the best of of what we get.  Man, don’t just sit there on your blessed assurance. Be “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” #Eph5:16 #InChristPray. No worries mate–no fear. Yup, when your knees get to knockin’ together, just kneel on em.
Jesus said “Come unto me all..” As you are. Good idea.
Need some Online Church Only? I do. Here’s a couple good ones: Harvest.org/live .. Prestonwood.live

Let’s pray for Pres. Trump, for our military soldiers, for our other local leaders and for our nation. Been looking at 1 Peter 4:7 in the Bible

Many foreigners in our country are still receiving more help like from the Government than those are who have long served our country in uniform. It's wrong! How is that even near rightly prioritizing? Let's show love to all people when we have the chance and let's give out the Gospel too. But we can give our financially help to sound churches and to those who really should be helped first.

In the last days (as I think these are..), forgiven, born again (genuine) Christians should live with an attitude of serious prayer with the right address attached.

“But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.”

 —  The end of all things is at hand: If we really believe that we live in the last days, it is all the more appropriate that we give ourselves to earnest prayer (therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. Accurate news can give you a prayer list).

“The assertion that the end of the age does indeed stands near and may break in at any time well represents the view of the early church.” ~ Hiebert

 —  Many Christians who believe that Jesus is coming soon based on Bible prophecy or man-made charts (from such) and on today’s political events.. often fail to wisely apply that belief in the proper way. They fail to apply themselves first to more diligent prayer. You can do better.
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.. in Jesus.
 —  Therefore be sober and serious… in your prayers: Pray without ceasing. We each must give ourselves to serious prayer. As we see the weight of eternity rushing in towards us, we dare not take the need for prayer lightly. Many lives are at stake. Many religious people think they are in the Kingdom by their works, and yet they are still out. The Holy Spirit can show them.
 —  Therefore be… watchful in your prayers: We must give ourselves to watchful prayer, intercession, primarily having our hearts and minds watching out and ready for the return of Jesus Christ. Am so looking forward to the Rapture of the Church, but want lost people saved as well.
This passage could also mean watching ourselves, judging ourselves, and watching this world do some of that they do (not the filthy stuff), measuring our readiness for Jesus’ coming.
The Bible teaches us (in 1Pe 4:8–11) that Christians in the last days, need to live with an attitude of no spiritual compromise and of love.

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1

 —  Above all things have real love — sincere love for one another: If these are the last days, then it is important for us to love those we are going to spend eternity with. Family members. Skin color doesn’t matter. In light of eternity, we must have fervent love for one another.
 —  For “love will cover a multitude of sins”: God’s kind of selfless love does cover a multitude of sins, both the sins of the one loving and the sins of the one who is being loved.

“Where love abounds in a (big, medium sized or large) fellowship of Christians, many small offences, and even some large ones, are readily overlooked and forgotten. But where love is lacking, every word is viewed with suspicion, every action is liable to misunderstanding, and conflicts about — to Satan’s perverse delight.” ~ Grudem

The end of all things is near..(we indeed know that these be your last days and mine, life here is short) so be vigilante for prayer daily. It’s gunna get kinda dicey and weird out in the world (it has for some time now), but hold on to your relationship with Jesus and don’t let your emotions take over in you.
Stand in the faith, stay loyal to the Word and the Essentials, and walk in the Word with victory. Never forget to have fervent love for Jesus most and for one another, believer. Choose to be hospitable and upbeat with JOY instead of all gripey, negative and endlessly complaining.
Replace complaint with prayer first. Perhaps after that take it to the proper authorities. Love always protects, so if someone is in danger, then quickly act.
Gird up the loins of your mind, don’t freak out with fear. Be ready for action — the appropriate actions. Ya never know.. you might just be entertaining angels unawares. Be and stay sober in spirit — yes, live sober. These are the last days. See vs 10.
Also recognize your God given gift, believer, and wisely employ it in serving others, believer. We opt to feed the flock rather than fleece the flock as the last days false teachers inside churches (and cultists in their spots) do.
Use and keep on using your gift (cultivate and perfect the use of it) to bring joy and encouragement to others. Use those gifts and all have some.. to bring honor and glory to the Lord. Hospitality this week? Sure, choose during this period of time to bless another — perhaps by sending an edifying note of truth and love.
“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” Deuteronomy 28:7 You got this. @KurtwVs

What has you frightened or worried? In a couple months Covid-19 here will be in the history books and we must press on. Be smart. There will always be something that will freak out many. Birth pains aka labor pains will be felt again. But in these uncertain last days, we can take the time to count our blessings, spend time with our first love Jesus, and keep thanking God for his divine provision, guidance and protection. Be filled with, or refilled with the Holy Spirit. We don’t have to be filled with fear, anxiety and worry. Go tell.

I love this 90 seconds of pure, and powerful truth!! No one can say it like Dr. Billy Graham like from Habakkuk here.

So many people feel empty, bored outta their goard, lonely, guilty and are afraid..to die.

“I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer.” ― Jim Carrey

'I wish I was dead already' said Lana Del Rey at 27. She thought that dying young was 'glamorous' and wanted to be a part of 'The 27 club'.

But merely joining that club doesn’t fix zip or fill the void inside. Money, fame..with like a millions of “followers” etc., or having an ivy league education, or that girlfriend or boyfriend, or an apparent perfect marriage with cute little kids..none of it fills the inner void inside.
What have you been striving for thinking it’ll really fill up and satisfy you?
"I really feel like I need six months to live again, time to be like, normal or abnormal. I don't have anyone writing anything for me. It's such an internal well and if it's not full, it's just not full." —Lana Del Rey
Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink. " For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
Jesus said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. " The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?" Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. " The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw." John 4:10-15
She had five husbands but none of them really did it for her -- romance can be nice in the right context, but having that minus a relationship with God through Christ is lacking too.
The woman said to Jesus, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is called Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us all things. " Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He."
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13
“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’”  John 3:3
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”  John 3:16-17

"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me though he die yet he shall live." John 11:25
“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”
The Lord says that. Whomsoever will can come and be welcomed in. Look to the Christ of the Bible.
“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. They will say of Me, ‘Only in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’” Isaiah 45:22-24a
“I am the resurrection and the life..” John 11:25 (Read more.. Blog)

He is risen! Go tell. In some way, go share. Am looking forward to Easter time -- it'll sure be different for so many different people this time.

Thinkin' 'bout Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and this Resurrection Day...
- Not everyone can stay home to just wait it out.
- Not all are enjoying the super funny "shelter at home" memes.
- Some have to keep working at their job around other people.
- Some have lost their jobs and weren't merely furloughed for a period.
- Some have long not had a real home.
- Some will never go back to a career or job.
Perhaps things are “not really that bad” for you. “This too shall pass” and then life will be pretty good perhaps—in my world, in your world.
Perhaps someone you know is permanently affected by all this goin' on. They’re grieving a loss, whether it’s loss of their autonomy, home, or their lung-health. Wanna pray more now. You too?
Two people in one-hundred might not sound like a whole lot, but if any two people I knew had passed away this week, it would feel absolutely devastating.
It's still no time for panic, or being led by emotions, nor is it a time to glibly say it’s fine... when for so many in our Land and others it is not.
The storm doesn’t always seem to pass for everyone.. or leave individuals in a good condition or place. Sadly, not for everyone. Pain or trouble can last for the remainder of a lifetime for some people.
Thinkin'.. not everyone on the streets is addicted, drunk or mentally ill. There are others off the streets crippled in different ways.. through no fault of their own.. as well. We can hope to adjust to a new normal by the grace of God -- indeed, we all can look to Him and grow in the Word..and we can help and point sound looking (or not so much..) people to Christ our ultimate Solution.
"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."
Don't need any bachelor's degree, or 401K, or work experience with a Fortune Five Hundred Company to look, to turn, trust and gaze towards. No, no!
"Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.
They will say of Me, ‘Only in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’" Isaiah 45:22-24a
"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me though he die yet he shall live.“ John 11:25
Let's memorize that! What a great, enigmatic, yet powerful Bible verse that we often hear at Easter time.
There seems to be an oxymoron in regards to life in death. And yet, we as (regenerated born again) Christians must realize this is not a dilemma at all, but a beautiful truth to muse over. One day our physical bodies become totally dead due to human trespasses and sins (directly or indirectly, our wrong-doin’s or from another, though we’ve all sinned), but our inner human spirits are totally washed and renewed through salvation by the Holy Spirit..in simply believing in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. What a glorious thing to consider!
In him Buckeroo, our endless future together is bright–so beyond thrilling to describe! Thank you Jesus for the Cross and for exiting that tomb with so many eyewitnesses.
Thanks for praying for me too.. for us Fish4souls.org ..while we can. Resurrection Day means life and restoration and a new beginning and meaningful relationship with Jesus our living hope ..to me. LIFE more abundantly here, and eternal as well. Facebook.com/shareJesus
“The Christian need not dread sickness, for he has nothing to lose, but everything to gain, by death.” ~ C.H. Spurgeon

A Christian has zip, null, zero, nothing to lose by death. You say he has to lose his friends. Really? I am not so sure of that. Life hear on earth seems short. But many of you have may more friends up in heaven than on earth; and some born again Christians have more dearly beloved ones up above than here below.
You often count those of your family circle, but do you do as that little girl back in the day in Wordsworth UK who said something profound, when she said, “Master, we are seven.”
Some of them were already physically dead and gone to up into heaven, but she would have it that they were all brothers and sisters still.
We live by faith, not by sight, nor by circumstances, nor by mere human opinions of people, nor by our personal feelings or impressions. Yes we live, by putting our full faith in the living God as we trust and claim His Bible promises. He doesn't change, and they don't either -- good for every age.
“Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.” ~ Job 5:26
