Such unrest and discontentment.
“There is no peace,“ says the Lord, "for the wicked.” ~ Isaiah 48:22
They march, they protest, they demand to be heard, they fight and get violent in an effort to get attention and their way sometimes. They make war outside cuz there is war inside. They have zero peace, they really long for peace, but have war in their hearts and even cultivate that war. Guess who they.. who we all need.
…“His name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ~ Isaiah 9:6b
“But now in Christ Jesus you [Gentiles] who once were far off have been brought near in the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near; for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.” Ephesians 2:13-18
Thank you for Your peace, Jesus. Thanks for the access that we have to You God… cuz of the Cross. Thank you loving heavenly Father for the Holy Spirit and Your Church–for satisfying fellowship. Thanks for all of our friends–please use us as peacemakers to plant seeds, to water seeds and to reap em for Jesus. Thanks for being One who totally accepts us, who comforts us, who guides us, who forgives us, who enjoys us, who glories in us.. who is tenderly concerned about the most intimate details of our lives and needs. Thanks for Your good plan and that we can be apart of it today. Take the drivers seat, Christ. Amen.
