Sup with temptation and how to deal with it.. in our day? Do like what Joseph did way back in his day -- he split. Bolted out the door. Ditched. Bailed..before the temptation got stronger. Yup, ran from the lustful lady and sexual sin! Flee every temptation and don't leave a forwarding address.

Our day -- it’s still a day where lust and all kinds of sex are celebrated.  Man, can’t we ever leave the 60′s and the fall out behind us?

One person is tempted by “same sex attraction.” 

One person is tempted by “opposite sex attraction.” 

You know what I mean.. they start feelin’ warm to their form and a choice is made and sex just kinda happens.. before marriage. We hear, Man, I fell in love and then fell into sin. Was tempted (but many don't even call it temptation or sin anymore. God does). 

Well, what were you doin' in her house when no one else was there? 

I don’t wanna say what ain’t so.. so I won’t, but I will try to simplify. Lusting after another person’s body is just lame – you know it’s a selfish thing. Sex in and of itself ain’t a bad thing – Duh, God invented it for the right context. Who would get married otherwise? Who would have children? You know the dif.   

Love can wait, lust can't. Love is about appropriately giving including sex -- I mean for a man and woman in marriage in the will of God, it's a good thing. Don't have to tell you that. Not just with anyone anywhere. Today it happens in public pools, in duck ponds, in hotel hallways, in so many movies. The media keeps pushing it farther and father trying to make the most perverse stuff seem normal.  

It’s becoming more and more common, this constant push of the world, the gross perversion.. from Hollywood pushed on the public.. ie, sister-wives, more than one, even robots, porn, drugged slaves trafficked over our borders, and with some religions.. li'l children-brides or just children abused, and even animals too. It’s wrong.

Worldliness is that which seeks to to make sin look cool or seem normal to people ..in any age.. and seeks to make righteousness seem really odd to people.

It ain't, and it ain't.. but Mr. Lu-Cifer persists strongly wanting us to give-in to temptation. Misery wants company. "But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

Righteousness is about being in right-standing with God the Father through Christ His Son..and then about livin' right as Jesus leads. He's our Chief Shepherd. We ain't perfect, but we can opt to follow Him.

You can choose to live free in the Lord today. Now is good to get right. 

We each can choose to wisely show compassion towards those who are confused or tempted. Each believer is called of God to live as a good example witness to those of this world. We give out love and truth -- the clear Gospel Message. 

So many people have been hearing and believing fake news these days. So many feel empty inside and really hungry for God's kind of satisfying agape-love. Today we hear so much 'bout people gettin' torqued out with confusion in their personal struggles (peer pressure and the media still seek to make all kinds of sinful lifestyles.. seem cool sophisticated or normal). We hear more than we want about their trans-dysphoria, then their public transition, and sometimes their disillusionment and de-transition as they try to get back. Worldly people really don't like some of these terms, cuz some words pretty much suggest that this person wasn't born gay. 

Bottom-line, when a person gets tempted and sins by getting drunk (as I did in the 70s), they have become a drunk like I was -- a sinner. 

When a "straight person" gets tempted by the opposite sex in their mind and then has sex with a person outside of marriage, they have become a fornicator or an adulterer / adulteress. God's word is clear on this sin. 

When a person gets tempted by the same sex in their mind and then does a same-sex-sin they have chosen to become a homosexual and the Bible is real clear about that sin as well. 

It all starts in the mind and leads to lust and acts. Hear the Good News, be filled with the Holy Spirit, ask for forgiveness where needed.. believe what's so instead of the fake news regarding this stuff. Me thinks a mental breakdown with all that depression...might at times just be a sin breakdown where faith, honest confession and repentance is missing.  

Today we hear how many are intensely lonely, they hate their body shape and about the isolation they suffer with. Many people long for "community" where they can be accepted. Some have explained their change as a mental-contagion to me. Some want out, but don't know how to get free. I feel for em.  

So what’s the ultimate answer? Jesus Christ is -- turn and trust Him..having a meaningful relationship with Jesus as both Savior and Lord. 

How have you been living? What's the good solution for you? Don’t give in to temptation. Trust God and trust what He has said in the Bible. 

Personally declare war on iniquity, on lust and on sin! 

Hey, want it to go really good for you in the future? Just submit to the authority of God's Word and resist the devil. Flee from youthful lusts. Adidas shoes put on or not -- run from it. 

The Bible says, "But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality.Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.." 1 Corinthians 6:17-19

- Is sex outside of marriage or same-sex attraction type of sex.. a sin? My opinion doesn't really matter. God says yes. He's right. Joy ain't in livin' gay or other than gay perverted. It's in Jesus who can forgive any of us sinners.

  

- Sex sin, what makes it a big deal? 

- What about intrusive sexual or lustful thoughts? 

When I met my wife I was totally attracted to her. That's one reason why I prayed about it, why we went out and prayed about it.. and I asked her to marry me. She and I aren't perfect, but we are forgiven in the Lord. Didn't want to become unequally yoked. So Glad God gave me a growing spiritual Christian wife. Am stoked!  

Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter” (Mark 3:28), but then He gives one exception: “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin” (verse 29). Facebook.com/shareJesus

Remember the Lord's prayer.. or ask I call it.. the disciple's prayer.. “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,” when we pray like this, we are saying, “Lord, I know my own sinful vulnerabilities, and I ask You to keep me from the power of sin. Help me to make the right choices and avoid anything that would pull me away from You.” Remember the Spirit leads us by what's written in the Word. Recall that old classic hymn, “Come Thou Fount,” says it so accurately: “Prone to wander—Lord, I feel it—Prone to leave the God I love...” It is our nature as sheep if ya will.. to wander away, to take a stride from the Master's side.. to go far astray, and simply to do the wrong thing like what our old fleshly nature craves. It is not our nature to do the right thing or be edified. We must remember that about ourselves -- we all need a new nature from being born again. As one writer said, “When we pray. ‘Lead us not into temptation,’ it is an appeal to God to put a watch over our eyes, our ears, our mouths, and our feet and our hands, that in whatever we see, hear, or say, or any place we go, and in anything we do, He will protect us from sin.”

We each can lay claim to the great promise of our heavenly Father who will not allow us to be tempted above that which we are able, but will make a way of escape so we can bear it. Why not wisely escape.. why not totally bail quickly from what could destroy?

Remember to focus on Jesus.. to resist the evil one,. to flee from temptation and to never ever leave behind a forwarding address.
