Where’re we headed? What in the world is going on?

Are we really living in the last days?
Are events in our culture and world today..signs of the times? Let's keep it straightforward and basic.. YES. “Noo. As if, Kurt! Give me a stinkin' break! Are you fanatical or what? I’ve heard all this before! And people have been saying like forever.. that Christ is coming back and is ticked, and nothing has yet happened. So what’s changed?”
Well, I never said that God was ticked at people. Actually, a lot of things have changed and cuz of the Cross He still hates sin, but ain't ticked at people. But yes, I believe we’re living in the last days. And you know you're livin' in your own last days. What's changed?
1. Just look at the aggression of Russia on so many fronts recently and the provocative statements from President Putin about their nuclear capabilities and a willingness to use them. Russia has developed a new intercontinental ballistic missile that can hit any target they choose. What has NATO named it? This “Satan 2.” Is this Satan or a second Satan? No, but sure is mean.
What else has changed?
2. Well, think about the emergence of China, not only is China coming forth as an economic superpower but China is also coming forward as a military superpower as well. China too has become more aggressive in their stance globally. You’ve seem them launching massive drills in the South China Sea. What else?
3. There is the weaponization of space. Ronald Reagan spoke of this long ago, but now more and more it’s happening. Many of China’s space capabilities are designed to counter U.S. military advantages. In a very technical sense, we’re literally headed towards battles higher up there in the skys -- Star Wars.
4 a,b,c. Add to this rogue nations like Iran, North Korea, the constant ongoing threat of Islamic terrorism in the Middle East and more of it even in the West due to the Open Border policies of politicians who have a lot to gain.
I like tech and believe that Christians should use technology to glorify God, to disciple believers and to evangelize the Lost, but you know that not all of the tech-advances we are seeing today are being used for good things. Been for some years overseeing some good use of tech by missionaries with Global Media Outreach Everything. There are such great people serving with a Great Commission purpose!
Has my or your personal info been compromised? Perhaps. I still use Facebook, Instagram, Google and Twitter but do not like some of the decisions made by the leaders of these companies with our personal information. I don’t even like how they keep doing their best to help only one side in the political realms of more than one nation, but I will leave that alone for now.
We’re now becoming more aware of the misuse, the abuse and the info-compromise they’ve been involved in. Remember when Facebook reported that the data of 87 million people might have been improperly shared. What? Might have been? Your info, my info -- it can be hacked and then someone evil-minded with selfish motives or very-sinister due to radical-religious-fervor could use it for some horrific things. Not trying to scare anyone -- this is nothing you don’t already know. One day that person, known as the Antichrist, will come on the scene and will exploit gobs.
You’ve heard how the famous Doomsday Clock was moved forward in January of last year. It’s now closer than it’s ever been to the end -- two minutes to midnight. Who are the keepers of this so-called clock? Is it a bunch of wild-eyed “Bible-thumpers” or theologians? Nope. They are a group of atomic scientists who say that because of current the threat level and recent developments, we’re that close to an all-out nuclear exchange.
Man, what in this world is going down? Dude, a lot has been goin' down.
Are you ready? Believer are getting close to the Lord by His Word and closer to the time of the Rapture of the Church. The Bible says that you believers aren’t going to be wiped out by God’s anger against sin. The Bible says, “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation. For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him..” 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
What’ll happen during the Great Tribulation after the Rapture is God’s wrath being poured on due to the cup of man’s sin being full here. No worries believer, you’re doing to dodge that bullet so to speak.
God knows the very blink of a moment when His Rapture will actually happen and we need to pray so our loved ones will get saved and ready for that (I’m not going to set a date).
What’s happening with this world? Crazy chaos, lots of lies told, a big mixing up if ya will, a lot of fake news is happening daily to confuse and deceive people. Yes, and people-groups all over are moving through time toward Armageddon. I promise that war will happen.
It’s as though everything has been sped up huh, is moving more rapidly toward what the Bible calls the “end of days” or the last days. Jesus compared this to the labor pains of a woman giving birth (and you pretty much know how that goes): The closer to the moment of baby delivery, the closer together the intense labor pains become. This is how it will be in the end times. More intensified perplexing pains.
There will be warnings for us here, things that should tip us all off that the end of the earth as we’ve known it.. is approaching. Women in labor tend to get loud and active. As we get closer to the actual unfolding of biblcial prophetic events, these “labor pains” Christ spoke of will also get more active, closer and closer together, until it’s done. I think we’re seeing this “labor” happen before our very eyes these days.
Where are we to focus? On Him. What are we supposed to do? Turn and trust if we’re still living in sin. Jesus said, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28 NKJV). Look upwards to Heaven and be reminded of the fact that God is sovereign -- He has a good plan, doesn’t change, and is in control.
We are to watch and pray, to know the Lord well, and to make Him well known. Our servant ministry is to be upward, inward and outward..in biblical worship to God, in discipleship Bible-ministry to those in the Church, and helpful to those who are still lost out in the world. We are to plant seeds, to water em well, and to reap the harvest into His Kingdom. God saves, but He uses us in all this. All believers in this world need to be prayerfully-studying Bible with on-fire saints, even prophecy within the pages not to just know more, but to go win more with a sense of urgency. Looking up helps us not be all down (depressed), but aids us in remembering that God is in control of all earthly events today. It can be very scary, don’t get me wrong cuz even nature itself has been disrupted and affected by Adam’s sin. World-history is His story. God is ultimately in control and things are going according to schedule.
We sing praises and studying Bible prophecy and guess what. We end up with a heavenly perspective, compassion, purpose, and world-changing-power inside. It’s a dunamis power for being and giving witness. Don’t lose sight of why you were called, nor of Him.
Yesterday I was ministrying some Scriptures on Christ being our living-hope..to a hopeless young man who was really hurting and even contemplating suicide. His finance bailed out on him, rejected him and was off to another. Talk about pains!!!.. I can sort of relate to all that, but it’s been awhile.
We all need Christ in our lives as our first love cuz that is exactly who He is--Jesus said that He will never leave us, or forsake us.
Regarding this Prophecy stuff, Israel is the key
Keep an eye on Israel too. The Bible is extra specific when it explains to us how a super-sign of the times would be the re-gathering of the Jewish people into their own homeland of Israel. Sure, when that happens guess what, the prophetic clock would be ticking. You know what, it already happened.
On the 14th of May in 1948, which was the day before the expiration of the British Mandate, Mr. David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, declared "the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz-Israel yes.. to be known as the State of Israel." Not just a sign among other signs of the times, this was and is a “super-sign” for you and for me!
The Bible teaches us, “When the LORD shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory” (see Psalm 102:16, and always see the context too). Never had a nation been able to regain its national identity again, 300-500 years after being removed from its homeland…. until this happened for Israel!
Go check it out, look hard, far and wide for any descendants of the Hittite, Assyrian and Babylonian nations, even though these were major world powers back in the day -- back in the ancient world. Think about it; they had really sunk down deep below the layers of stone and the sands of time. If it were not for the Scriptures, me thinks the Hittites would never have been remembered by history at all.
At one point back in the day, scoffers used to so ridicule the Bible for even mentioning those Hittite people. It was thought that they were totally fictional like Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mice. But archaeologists in the 19th century eventually confirmed the accuracy of Scripture when they uncovered irrefutable evidence of the extensive Hittite Empire and it really caught God off guard. So surprised Him! Not! Hah hah!
Jesus knew they’d all go down.. the Hittites, the Assyrians, and the Babylonians. They all disappeared and God promised they would!
Ain’t that way the Jews of Israel!
Why did they survive as a people (one reason, so we will be praying that many Jews will become born again spiritually and become a part of the Bride of Christ their Messiah-groom.
If Jesus came back today, would you be ready to meet him on His terms? May I ask.. Have you biblically repented (turned), believed (trusted) and been forgiven by Him?
We all need a heavenly perspective, and we need to be reminded of this simple fact: Jesus Christ is first coming for His Church in the air (Sure, no prophecy of Scripture must first be fulfilled before that happens..), and then later on He’s coming back to this planet in the Second Coming. Gunna end a big war and set things right on earth. Are you ready for Him and all of this? If you really believe that Christ could return at any moment, this will change you. It would impact the way you daily live!
In a blink, in one moment of time, in a flash He’ll come in the clouds. Listen, you can make a decision right now.. that affects your entire life and future. The most important decision of all is what will you do with, Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him while living here. The biggest decision of all.. is will you turn from sin to Him in faith.
You remember how Christ made some radical claims. He claimed to be the only way to the Father and into His holy Heaven. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” (John 14:6 NLT).
Listen Sport, there are 1,600+ cults out there and every one of them is still denying the Jesus of the Bible (the real Lord). Bottomline: You won't get to heaven those ways. Christ explained that He's thee door, not one of many. All will appear before God's Great White Throne Judgment seat, or the Judgment Seat of Christ, but regarding heaven.. Jesus is the only way in.
A lot is at stake. Jesus is coming back. He could return today, tonight, or tomorrow. Get ready now while you can. There’s no salvation after you physically expire. Come as you are to God.
