Are you an American?.. or not so much? Pray. Sure, let’s all be praying for America. You know at this time.. we need the Lord. Yup, the most. More than for all else. Idea, if you don't live within reach as far as driving there. Find out how to bring this event to where you are.

Think about it a minute...

Jesus did not say.. Follow my people, or follow my church, or follow my alleged or real leaders, or follow religion. Nope, He said follow me. He didn't says the whole world should go to church, but He did say.... in effect, that the church should worship and go to the whole world and preach the Gospel. All of us praying, going.. to all nations starting where we are at.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

"You show me a person who is strong in the faith and I’ll show you a person that loves being in the church.
They love gathering with God’s people.
They love to worship the Lord.
They love to hear the Word preached & taught. They love it.
They can’t get enough of it." ~ Greg Laurie

“To live in the past is to die in the present.” ~ Bill Belichick

There are two ways we can live our lives: We can live the right way or the wrong way. There are two foundations we can build our lives on: We can build on solid rock, or we can build on shifting sand.
I say.. Build your life on Christ!

Why do so many people own Bibles but so few actually read them? Did ya know that.. 93% of Americans own at least one Bible. True. And the average home in the USA has 4 Bibles. Let em not gather dust cuz that's not good for breathing or growth.

Walk in the SONshine. It's a choice. In the Lord, breathe the clean air, drink the pure milk of the word. Sure, pray and study what so. In Romans 7:15, Paul writes: I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it.Instead, I do what I hate.

Reading and living the Word is right and edifying. How can it change my life?

So.. What’s The Power of 4 Effect?

If a person engages, I mean prayerfully reads you know a pretty good chunk of their Bible four or more times per week.. guess what.. their odds of giving in to these temptations decreases. And how much? This much:

Drinking to excess -62%
Viewing pornography -59%
Having sex outside marriage -59%
Gambling -45%
Lashing out in anger -31%
Gossiping – 28%
Lying -28%
Neglecting family -26%
Overeating or mishandling money -20%

Reading your Bible.. truth engagement also produces more peace and joy in a person’s life, by reducing the frequency of various emotional struggles.

Receiving, reflecting on, and responding to God’s Word four or more times a week decreases a person’s odds of struggling with these issues:

Feeling bitter -40%
Thinking destructively about self or others -32%
Feeling like they have to hide what they do or feel -32%
Having difficulty forgiving others -31%
Feeling discouraged -31%
Experiencing loneliness – 30%
Overeating or mishandling food -20%
Having difficulty forgiving oneself -26%
Thinking unkindly about others -18%
Experiencing fear or anxiety -14%

What are the monthly struggles of believers who only go to church to hear the word monthly? Enlarge this, zoom in on (click here). BTW Thank you for the stats. Listen Fred. Listen well Mildred. Listen li'l Buckeroo, among born again Christians, who are engaging Scripture most days of the week strongly predicts a more proactive faith.
"Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once BELONGED
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Jojo. Go HOME
Get back, get back." ~ the Beatles

Specifically, controlling for age, gender, church attendance, and prayer practices, the person engaged in the Bible has significantly higher odds of…
Giving financially to a church +416%
Memorizing Scripture +407%
Biblically Discipling other Believers +231%
Sharing their faith with others +228%
Giving financially to causes other than their church +218%
I think of our lives here in terms of a dot and a line. Sure, thus signifying two phases. Our present life on earth is the dot. It begins. It ends. Believers can make an impact, but it’s brief.
However, from the dot, a line extends that goes on forever. That line is eternity, which Christians will spend in heaven what's the Living Word of God. Right now we’re living here in the dot. But ask.. what am I really living for while here? The shortsighted person lives for self -- the dot. The person with perspective lives for the line.
Purpose to.. know the word well, and make Him well known.
Those who engage with the Word, the Scriptures four or more days per week have significantly lower odds of…
Feeling spiritually stagnant -60%
Feeling like they can’t please God -44%
"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed..” John 8:31

Is it hard to know who should be listened to? Is discernment so hard?

Christian belief is by no means monolithic. There are hundreds of church movements, dead denominations, good creeds, and statements of faith to choose from. There are spiritually sick churches led by spiritually sick people, and healthy Bible teaching churches too.

We want what is 100% true not partly.. and some just seem to mix the truth with error, with spiritual arsenic.

How do we know what is true, what is only half-true, and what is false? Some say, "Forget doctrine…just love one another." Clearly, we need guidance to help us sort out what to believe. Go to God via Christ. And his Bible is a great place to meet up with Him.. yes, prayerfully go there for clear guidance.
Not to pick on the Roman org alone or on any one people group per se.. but I just saw this in the news recently. Made me think about how great God's love and justice are. So fair and holy is He. So worthy to be worshiped.

”Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15
My pastor Chuck Smith Sr. would often warn us with a comment like, "Most of what a false teacher teaches people is true, but it's the ten percent or so of arsenic that'll get ya. Yeah, that's what's concerning."

Face it, we'd be crazy to want fake news mixed in with the Good News that's real, but some people really love to mix in the truth with poisonous error. Sure, and more people swallow it down that way.

Then we wonder why there are so many sickos out there.

"As soon as night had fallen, the brothers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. As a result, many of them believed.." Acts 17:10-12a

So many wolves in sheep’s clothing. So SO many false teachers out there... not merely with the Roman organization alone. Who will you follow? I say follow the Word of God -- Jesus Christ. He'll never let you down.

In a time when people won’t endure sound doctrine, it’s no great surprise to see em.. so many false prophets in the news and on the airwaves. Television: it sells em .. sells people what they want to buy. Some programmers use it to sell false doctrines and millions are eating it up. Listen, a discerning born again believer can and must separate the truth from the error when listening to any so called teacher.
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” Leviticus 18:22

When Christ is in hearts and Lord (not just in theory), it's a far better place here.

And.... He can use you.

"Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!" ~ Jesus (In the original Greek, "anyone" actually means.. anyone) -- We can know, we can go, we can let it show.

First-hand we can know. The rivers can flow and in em well, we can go! Ain't no revival or awakening gunna happen without em, Sport.

Different needs today -- daily, you see em. Lord God, it's a different day. So many don't know the way.. with extreme thirst out there. I request rivers.. Your rivers of living water.  Pour out Your Spirit again. Start here please. Thanks Jesus!

He loves. He said. He gave. He forgives. He fulfilled. He washes, He fills. He rescues. He poured. He empowers.

Yup, God keeps all His promises!

we hear. we turn. we trust. we receive. we rejoice. we live. we worship. we go. we overflow. we tell!

As we look around at all the brokenness and seemingly un-solvable perplexities including the frustrations of the nations these days, we can help but feel concerned for people, but we can still rejoice in Lord as well.. knowing that He is the ultimate Solution for all Lands and the individuals in them. We have hope, having read the rest of the story. We know how it will turn out for believers.
No matter the person, prob, need or question -- Jesus Christ is still the Answer. Sin seems to complicate and compound matters -- always has -- but cuz of the Cross, God washes us and begins to change us from the inside out.. one person at a time. Doesn't force any. Whosoever is willing to be cleansed.. it can happen. God makes us loathe what we used to love (the prejudice, the dead religious rituals and trying to earn righteousness, the arrogance, the lies, the vices, the hatred of people--all the selfish destructive stuff etc), and love what we used to loathe (the living word, fellowship, serving, and all that helps people).
Clean rivers can flow and in em WELL, not weird or sick.. we can go!

Ask God to give you a refill.. if you've once been filled. Stay biblical, ya got nothing to lose.

Have you first-hand experienced that? Man!.. God hasn't fallen off His throne. He’s never said, Oh no!.. nothin’ has caught Him off guard or surprised Him ever.

He loves you and can be trusted. Evil angels and people with weird ideas around -- Mr. Lu-Cifer's crowd with their deeds, but so does Life and Joy abound for us! God knows exactly what He is doing here, knows why He allows certain things to happen, and knows what is best for each of us -- yes, what's best for you today. Never forces people to do the right thing, or to come to Him.

In Luke 11:11-13, the Bible says "How much more will the heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" Ask.

Q. In this uber-thirsty world, are you well acquainted with springs, torrents, raging helpful rivers of.. living water? All that's from Him and for you.. for all willing.

"Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well.." Numbers 21:17
Are there some other verses (in their own contexts) that I can look at or memorize? Sure. The Bible says "On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, 'Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When He said “living water,” He was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given,f because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)" John 7:37-37 nlt

Listen, the Holy Spirit is such a great gift from Him! When humbly, by faith, we hear the Gospel, when we turn, and we freely receive Christ on the inside ..guess what.. we also gain this extraordinary Gift in addition to His forgiveness -- the Holy Spirit! The Gift that keeps on giving.

There will be no more spiritual awakenings or authentic revivals minus the Holy Spirit here.  @KurtwVs

He's God! He's a Comforter, a real Encourager. And He empowers us to share what Christ has done. And we really want to now cuz we have this new love for all peoples. I asked. He came inside me in 1977 and I've now been with GodLife for quite a while. I never regret it!
We can pray and be heard. We can serve and love people. Yup, no matter their country or background, we sense it inside and now want what's best for them. Have you been reborn spiritually? If so, people need what you have, Christian.
Q. What has the Holy Spirit provided you with lately that you didn't even know you needed.. for this Last Days Great Commission ministry that He's blessed you with? Why not surrender to God's Word and tell Him you are willing to be a witness and to verbally give witness of Jesus Christ. Need some GodLife -- real life? Not sure where you stand with God? Come as you now.

You have not because you ask not... so ask. Expect. Believe and receive.

Isaiah 12:3 Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation.
