Jesus was entombed after that time on the Cross, and totally dead. No mo. Now alive -- over 500 eyewitnesses. I believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ!
"Pilate said to them, 'You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make [Jesus' tomb] as secure as you can.' So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard." ~ Matthew 27:65-66
Hard-hearted Pilate thought he was playin’ it safe against potential flak – didn’t want to have to explain or do public damage control.
“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,” 1 Cor. 15:3-4
Because He died and has risen again guess what.. it means that believers never have to be afraid of death. How cool is that – where is your sting death? Like a bumblebee that already left his stinger behind. Like a loudly barking ole dog minus fangs and molars.
As 1 Corinthians 15:20 tells us, “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.”
Have a really fantastic Easter! Q. Can you declare that Christ is alive in you? Easter, it’s meant to be for everyone!
Today, I feel anticipation for that day when all of creation will be set free from death and decay. Forever. The final pages of the Bible don’t speak to us of going up to heaven but of heaven coming down to earth. A new heaven and a new earth. I feel anticipation for the Rapture.
I believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus; it is my proof that not only my sins are forgiven, but that death has been once and for all crushed. Oh death where is your sting? You just like a bumblebee that I already left its stinger behind. You’re kinda like a loudly barking pitbull that’s had its fangs and molars ripped out.
Jesus said, “Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, and you see I have” Lk. 24:38–40
If you've got chains, Jesus is a chain-breaker.
Got a cell and bars? What kind. Not a prob for Him. He can indeed get you where He wants you to live. I'm not promising you out of prison if you did crimes, but Hey.. there can still be a manumission. A freedom.
What prevents people from enjoying New Life and lasting freedom? The hardness of this world does. Let's see that fixed -- no need to stay hard.
“He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” Prov. 29:1
“And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”Lk. 18:24
To Saul who became Paul, 'It is hard for you to kick against the goads.'” Acts 26:14
“For the hearts of this people have grown dull.Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed,”Mat. 13:15
“Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,And in whose spirit there is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones grew old. Through my groaning all the day long.” Ps. 32:2-3
“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end ” Heb. 3:12-14
Are you hard-headed or hard-hearted? Have you had a hard life?
Sorry 'bout that. So called "normal-life" can also be hard. “Is there not a time of hard service for man on earth?”Job 7:1
Had worse than a hard life? God understands.
We've all blown it, judgment is coming to the unrepentant. but why let that hardness, pride, willfulness -- sin keep you from a better life?
Are you enjoying supernatural zoe kind of abundant life in Christ? People become like their gods, is yours insensate? Do you worship and put yourself first? Notice the character and kindness of Christ -- that's my God. Are you a Christian but living like Jesus is still dead? Why?
"He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” ~ Luke 24:6-7
