The enemy hates and aims at...
1. Jesus Christ, yes the God-man, such a beautiful Person! (of all of the religions and so-called gods in the world, whose name do people cuss with most? Party’s, educated folk do, I even hear zealous Muslims use His lovely name to curse. It’s really offensive to me and many, but I don’t really tell them this. Why try to reform the behavior of the unregenerate rather than just win em to Christ? It’s according to their old nature -- I used to do that too, but you can have a new nature!).
2. The Holy Angels -- I say holy cuz there's a lot of perverted ones and He is that way to the max. A third of em rebelled and fell. No savin' em ever -- they are whack forever and know they'll fry in hell. That place was made for them, not originally made for people though sadly many opt to go there. And God can't make them or anyone.. not go there.
3. The Nation of Israel, yes, the Jewish people are part of God's plan (so check out all the promises He made to them).
4. The spiritually reborn Christian (Are you a real one? Yeah you come number four -- but listen, you indeed are God’s friends so stay close. He loves you and wants to use you with your gifts! Christ lives inside of real Christians. Why? Cuz they repented, trusted and invited Him in. See John 1:12-13, and chapter 3). Again, is that you--are you a believer? If ya have trials, tests or come under spiritual attack, don't be discouraged.. cuz greater is He that is inside of you than your fallen-angel-enemies in this sin-cursed world. If God be for you, who can be against you--the Lord will win, beloved!
5. Then, he just wants to wipe out all humans who were made in the image of God (yup, though many via neglect or ignorance or rejecting Jesus have literally made themselves enemies of God. We all have limited time to respond to the real Gospel--life here is short). Yes, these listed above are the enemy's aim, and in that order. Kill people slow or fast, that's his lust and goal, but he likes to faster over slower. Look around and tell me how he's doing. The thief came here..not but for to steal, and kill, and to destroy the Jesus came that you might have life and life more abundantly.
The world tries to change us from the outside in, but the Lord saves us -- He changes us from the inside out. If we are just willing and ask Him to. I used to be the enemy's puppet -- used to love his parties and this world's corrupt system, but no more.
Kind of different now.. I love the people in this world. God helps this saved sinner (me) love sinners and saints. Need Him to. Sure, when Jesus comes inside He helps you loathe what you used to love (the Bible, prayer, church time, real Christians) and love what you used to loathe -- the sometimes pleasure Bowl sin that's yes, fun for a season.
Do you feel like you’ve gone so far, like way too far.. that Christ’s love can’t catch up to you?
Lord, help me not be prayin’ only when You want me to act in obedience – religious fools lacking bravery in my day regularly do that. Thinkin’ about Moses prayin’, crying out, when you simply told him to get his tail across the Red Sea ..on foot. And help me not be takin’ actions too much when you want me to pause, listen to your words and pray–this world’s got way too many religious workaholics and other kinds. Wanna live it first.. daily, empowered by your Spirit, but help me not remain silent when you want me to simply share Your Gospel with a needy friend.
When people hear, believe and start acting on lies they hear.. like the lie that they themselves have absolute control over every aspect of their lives, ask yourself.. what are they saying? They’re basically stating that God is not smart enough, willing enough, caring enough, strong enough, or just plain good enough.. to know what is best for each of His kids.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own expectations. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Look around ya. So many many stressin'. Stressed out people cussin', searchin' and freakin' out today. They look high and low, near and far.. over seas even.. just to find inner peace, some calm and rest.
Have you been cussin' gobs, a drag to be around, and filled with anxiety or fear? Jesus is our rest and tells us.. "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” ~ Matthew 11:29-30
"The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell." ~ James 3:6
So small, the tongue, yet so potentially destructive.
Just enter His rest spiritually and praise the Lord ..all day long. So trustworthy is He. So worthy is He of all the glory and the worship!
