The ultimate experience at the end is joy. What comes before that? Let your hurting, your loss, your pain, your trials, your suffering be ..not in vain.

I don't desire suffering, I don't seek it out. Why do that? But it is indeed given to suffer. It's true. I want to make all I do, think, or say, or even when I pause to be still to listen.. biblical worship unto You, Lord.

It's a gift. Suffering is, but Jesus is the best Gift given. Suffering for me? Really? Yup, for you too. Accept it. Paul said, "For to you it has been GRANTED on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.." Philippians 1:29 NKJV

Suffering, what is it? Simple. It's in having what you don't want, it's in wanting what you don't have.

When God gives suffering, along with that He gives us.. Himself.
Do you have cancer? Don’t want it. Did you lose your husband? Want him and comfort back? Paul and Silas and Peter had bars in prison. They wanted to serve God by preaching. They didn’t want the bars, really not a good situation for all, but it was the will for God for them during the times they were locked up. It’s a great mystery here. Where did Paul write most of the New Testament that has comforted so many. Let go of the reigns into God’s hands. Let go of what you can’t control anyways.

If it wasn’t for suffering, millions of humans wouldn’t develop an atom of affection.  That’s what George McDonald taught us over and over again. Every mother knows of the joy that follows after the suffering of childbirth. It is a gift of suffering. Jesus was given a cup from the Father, and it was filled with suffering.

Suffering is a megaphone gift from God Himself. Sin entered in here. Wasn’t God’s fault. We now live in a sin-cursed fallen world. God whispers to us while we are having a really good time. He shouts to us in our pain. C.S. Lewis tells us this. We can’t evade God when we are in pain. We will think of Him and can call out to Him while suffering. You and I can see His face so to speak, in the darkest valleys. It is required of us to suffer. “Unto you it is given to suffer” -- that’s an utter foreign to my nature. This concept is an outrage, full anathema to our nature. Suffering is a gift. In it, God reveals His will to me.
The handicaps, the earthquakes, the trials, the testings, the famines.. but I trust Him. For God so loved the world He sent His Son here to suffer in our place. Jesus’ real hands were nailed to real wood by real wicked men.. for us! Yup, by people like you and me. By sinners like me.
Have you tasted the bitter without the sweet? You know the darkness comes before the light, and the rain falls before the flower blooms.
Have you met singles who SO want to be married. And married people who SO want to be single again? I think we all have. I never want any to stay there..if they're getting beaten. Some are. Take a break away. Many are not being treated like that.

"For you have been GIVEN not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him." NLT #EmphMine

Personally, I don't cause myself suffering on purpose at all.. like I’ve seen many religious people do.. whipping or peiching their backs 'til bloody.. or walkin’ with beads a mile on bloody knees trying to gain favor with God. Doesn’t work. Listen, all the major religions of this world studiously avoid suffering. They hardly touch on suffering -- all of em studiously avoid this topic.. except Christianity.

the Apostle Paul had a thorn in the flesh and prayed three times that it would be removed. It wasn't. God gives good gifts.. even the gift of suffering. He allows it because he loves you.

"In acceptance lieth peace." ~ Amy Carmichael

Weeping may endure and seem to go on for a whole night.. yes, for a long piercing, stabbing or poignant tear-filled night, but joy comes in the morning. See Psalm 30:5.
Jesus was given a cup... and in that cup was suffering. The father allowed it.
"I stood a mendicant of God before His royal throne
And begged him for one priceless gift, which I could call my own.
I took the gift from out His hand, but as I would depart
I cried, 'But Lord this is a thorn and it has pierced my heart.
This is a strange, a hurtful gift, which Thou hast given me.'
He said, 'My child, I give good gifts and gave My best to thee.'
I took it home and though at first the cruel thorn hurt sore,
As long years passed I learned at last to love it more and more.
I learned He never gives a thorn without this added grace,
He takes the thorn to pin aside the veil which hides His face." ~ Martha Snell Nicholson

Pain places all of us on the same plane.

When my little sister Kathy was murdered at age 29, it hurt a lot of people. Had to do the funeral. Then when later.. I also had to do that for her 24 year old son Dutch (who had actually witnessed that ordeal of his mom years before) burying him in the same location. It hurt. Why did God allow it? It's none of my business.
Sometimes God tells us why, but I don't demand it. When John the baptizer landed in prison for doing the will of God... He heard almost a cryptic message from his Leader...
"..and blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me." ~ Jesus
He asks.. Will you still love me? Will you trust me? Will you follow me?
Some of the pain here isn't needful, but some is. Does God allow suffering? Yes He does. Today we want everything in America to be really fun, exciting and comfortable to. Very comfortable. Trouble and perplexity drive us to prayer, and prayer drives away trouble and perplexity.
What a friend we have in Jesus, all out sins and grief to God in prayer. O what needless pain we bear. What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9
Ask yourself.. Who are the lives that have been profoundly a beacon to you, who have been a huge blessing to you? Thus far.. what lives impacted you for eternity the most? Everyone of them.. yes every single one of them.. have suffered.
Paul was GIVEN a thorn. Given! He had a wonderful spiritual experience.. was caught up into the third heaven. We'd love to see all he saw up there so we could write a book and get on TV right? God didn't take it away. It was a messenger of Satan. It was permitted and not only that.. it was ordained by God to order to keep Paul from getting absurdly conceited. He could have been tempted to become prideful. Humility is far better. Want more grace?

Suffering is a necessity. Accept the gift and embrace the Cross. Jesus did that.

"There are worlds to be redeemed from pain in the end, but they can only be redeemed through pain. Suffering is part of the plot of a love story, the love story of Jesus Christ who loved us and gave Himself for us. That self-giving meant suffering. From the very beginning.” ~ Elisabeth Elliot

Think of the Cross and all that entails. Choose to praise God. The suffering precedes the satisfaction. God and Heaven are there for you, so make your reservations in advance. One way in. Jesus.
Walking by faith in the Lord means it won’t always be peaches and fragrant roses. We must give up our right.. to ourselves. Sure, He works in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure, but still I must give up myself, my own choices and preferences if He is to be Lord of my life. Amy Charmichael taught us this. More importantly, The Bible teaches this. How did Jesus our great example live -- what did he experience here?
"He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no stately form or majesty to attract us, no beauty that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He took on our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken by God, struck down and afflicted" Isaiah 53:2-4

Good ideas. Self-denial can be a good thing. It's a Christian concept. Say no to sin and feelings and Mr. Lu-Cifer or his buds that tell you to go do wrong. Submit to God and resist all devils (fallen angel-losers). Die to your own will, to the will of this world, and to self -- to your old fleshly nature. Take up your cross and follow Jesus. Now is good for that. Die to self. Think about it. The cross before the crown. If we suffer with Him (Jesus) we will also reign with Him. Suffering precedes satisfaction. Sure.. even God Himself didn't take a shortcut route to this. Been reading Isaiah 53. The root of depression in most cases is bitterness. Do you feel that God or someone else down here has done something unforgivable? Please come to Christ who suffered for you, who prays for you.. or come back to Him. Are you suffering? He can forgive, you can forgive others. He can save and comfort you. Do the next indicated (by the Holy Spirit) thing. The Lord requires that we believers.. suffer some here.

I commend to you Jesus Christ who felt the lash, He might not here take away all your suffering and adversity. Redemption was accomplished through the agony and death of the Son of God. That we might live in company with Him as Savior and Lord. He could not have saved you if He spared Himself the pain. Christ heard the taunts from the Cross, sarcastically onlookers saying, “And those who passed by heaped abuse on Him, shaking their heads, and saying, ‘You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross!’ Likewise, the chief priests, scribes, and elders mocked Him..” Matthew 27:40

God promises you, “When you pass through the waters, will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.“ Isaiah 43:2

Believer, you are an important key to sharing Christ with millions of people. Won by one by one -- in love one at a time.

Image result for missionary quotesBeen dealing with a fiery trial here lately -- an injury, but can't forget you regardless of the pain. You've had some trials and opposition too I'm sure. Yet, you keep pressing on. Thanks for loving and serving the Lord in the way you do. Got a few minutes free here, so I just wanted to say... keep on going with Jesus as Lord, believer. It all matters. People matter.
May God bless you in in a big way -- in all that you are doing with and for Him (been thinking/interceding for you Harvest Online Missionaries a lot). God is so faithful, SO true, and completely-loyal. You are not alone.. even on those days when you feel all alone. God is mindful--He sees all you’ve been going through and how you've served Him. The Bible says...

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6

God patiently directs each of us as we trust Him daily.. as we listen to His Word. What a blessing to hear God’s voice and serve Him -- it’s a blessing because of Christ and His love for us and those in this world. You know how God can use any of us to help others enter into His Kingdom, as well as go the distance with.. walkin’ tight with Jesus our King.

I just pray that you will be encouraged today to keep seeking Him, to keep going as you look to the Lord for everything you need, to keep praying earnestly as you with expectation trust that other's needs will be met as well.

"Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins." James 5:20  #Fish4Souls

“Then the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”  Daniel 12:3

Worshiping, disciple-making and witnessing are all God’s plan for you and me this week and for our entire future. Yup, biblically.
What great ideas to be involved with! Upwards, inwards, and outwards.. ministry. And what other ministry directions do I need really? None. Not interested in any other ministry directions.
And these three are still so important cuz people are--and important as they’ve always been, or perhaps more so since there are more people to reach. #Fish4Peeps
Let's keep talking to God alone first as well as in the middle of our routines.. about our part in helping to bring closure on Christ’s Great Commission.
It’s so cool that people write to us. That makes it easy to reach them. Let’s keep praying, you know continue with zeal, calling out for them by name. I’ve been praying for you online missionaries too. Can’t forget you. God sure won’t. And let’s keep praying about all that they desire, about all that we read in God’s word regarding this, about all our desires too (praying both for us, and for those we help disciple and need to grow). Let’s keep on asking specifically, boldly, hugely... no matter the size of your need or there’s. It’s all really small and easy for our God to meet.

A person is either a missionary or a mission field. Corrie Ten Boom said that and she was right. Ice cold, lukewarm, or red hot--what's your temperature? Many call themselves Christians today and we want to help em all get close to Christ. A Christian is either a soul-winner or a backslider
Since September 2017, you’ve missionaries have been used in helping Global Media Outreach reach just over 100 million people with the Gospel! I love that!

I thank God for you! Your ministry has reached more than 2 million people in Iraq, a country that is very hostile to Christianity. You’ve also been involved in GMO sharing Jesus with more than 200,000 Somalians, whose country is ranked third on Open Doors’ World Watch List for most persecuted countries. In fact, we’ve even reached into North Korea 22 times in the last year.

No country, or person in any country is out of reach of God’s love. No Land is off limits from our GMO model of online evangelism and discipleship! None!

People inquire and you clearly give them the Good News! Yay!! They get to choose and we leave the results with the Lord..but follow up too. I love what you’ve accomplished and how you write people..daily.. how you respond and edify them, how you listen, how you get tactfully personal at times and lift them up in prayer! Right on the spot, and they can sense the Love of God in their direction!!! It's important.
Really want to encourage you again--I want to. Let’s keep our focus primarily on Christ, and let’s stay in prayer for what God has for us. Rest reassured of His love for you, rest assured in His grace, in His purpose, and in His righteousness. He will patiently direct us / you.. day-by-day, step-by-step in doing His will. Can’t forget you for a sec. When we pray and obey, others will indeed be impacted for his glory. It’s happened, is happening, and I trust will happen some more. ~ KurtwVs IG

Real Life is there for you. Free. He came that we might have life and life more abundantly.. eternally!

Lame poet -- I know it. : )
I was breathing, you know.. suckin' air, but not alive, there was zero thrive and lots of jive.
Me, out there tryin' to survive.
All my failures I tried to hide..

in '77.
No abide, just a really bad ride. Wished it would subside.

It was my tomb..
A lot like a tomb, from the womb DOA.. 'til I met You!

....until You Jesus.
One day it'll be up there to You.
A good disrupt.
Yeah, with You there. Cuz You really care.
You called my name..
And I sprinted out, wasn't the same.. out of that grave.
Out of the darkness and...
Into Your glorious day!

Okay today.. I wanna obey.

"And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power." 1 Corinthians 6:14

Monday, September 10, 2018

The main prob is for problem-solving today.

“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” Psalm 85:6
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
“In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.” Habakkuk 3:2
“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” Psalm 19:7

“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus.” Acts 3:19-20
