Who do you look to.. I mean turn to in times of need?

Who do you look to first.. I mean think about and first turn to in times of need?
Our Lord, the only God in the whole universe.. He warmly welcomes any flawed individual like me.. any!.. whoever’ll humbly come to Him, and who honestly relies on Him.
“The people of Judah were victorious because they relied on the Lord, the God of their ancestors.” 2 Chronicles 13:18
Think about Abijah in the Bible–he can be an encouragement for us too. Sure he sadly had a checkered history ..the dark checkers I mean…and sure this had caused some damage. What battles he faced. But guess what.. Mr. Abijah knew where to turn when he was in a crisis. And he, together with his army, won soundly “because they relied on the Lord, the God of their ancestors” (v. 18). I want both of my eyes so to speak on Jesus to meet needs -- why look to this world to meet my needs and grow worldly in some lame kinda way.

Start where you are, with those around you. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

We each are called to muscular, enduring, robust, vibrant Christianity -- yeah, to Christ.

Called to Jesus the Strong Victor who never wimps out or quits. It’s a faith and relationship thaaang, not a bailin’ out thing.

When the nation is again in turmoil.. no matter how many are committed to and love the old moldy life, I'm just gunna enjoy the new! I like NEW LIFE instead of death or that which makes dead!!!!!
"Anyone who belongs to CHRIST has become a NEW person. The old life is gone; a NEW LIFE has begun!" 1 Cor 5:17
Jesus is still sovereign, and still not mean-spirited or religious!

There should be no place for Racism Prejudice or any hatred of people. One race--the human race. Of one blood. Made from one man -- Adam. See Romans 17

He's not the way the uber-strict religious folk try to make him appear. Regardless of what people think or say.. why quit? There's no time for that religiousity. In the eyes of unbelievers everything that God does is “unfair and unjust,” but God is totally just in all that he does and is. Always has been always will be – you will see. And we must still live it His way..and preach His word in love. It’s what he did no matter the cost, no matter the Cross.
“God is fair and just; He corrects the misdirected. He sends them in the right direction. He gives the rejects his hand and leads them step by step. From now on every road you travel will take you to God. Follow the Covenant signs; read the charted directions. Keep up your reputation..” Psalm 25 8-14 msg
Have you come to Christ ..as you are willing to turn and trust.. yet?

Talk is the easy part. Acting on that is somewhat more challenging. Tell the truth in love and apply it.

Many people merely talk about us enjoying freedom, but Christ did more than that -- yeah, did something about it.

“Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who GIVES LIFE has set you FREE from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2

I was just talking with a man named Steve who just turned (repented of sin) and trusted Christ. What a great idea. There are none better.
Said to him.. way to go, Steve, on putting your faith in Jesus. I am so glad you want to follow Jesus Christ! The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9 that “It is by grace (God’s gift) we have been saved and not by works (human effort).”
People have all kinds of ideas about Jesus. But who is Jesus to you personally? I will be glad to answer your questions and help you know God better.
Steve, the Bible tells us “For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20 NKJV)  We were created to have a relationship with God. Because of our sin, we are separated from that relationship. Even worse, our sin will cause us to be separated from God for all of eternity, in this life and the next. God says “I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike-the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus." (Acts 20:21 NLT) God says (Romans 6:23) "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
John 3:36 says “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
The good news is Jesus is the way! “Jesus told us in John 14:6, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’” Jesus took our sin upon Himself. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” Jesus died in our place. In Romans 5:8 God says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” taking the punishment that we deserve. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death (Romans 6:4-5). Why did He do it? Jesus answered that question Himself: “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
Jesus died so that we could live. Steve, if we place our faith in Jesus, admit we are sinners and be willing to repent (turn away) from our sins, trusting Jesus’ death as the payment for our sins, all of our sins are forgiven and washed away. We will know our true best friend and good shepherd. We will know that we will have life after we die-a resurrected life in heaven for eternity with Jesus! AMEN!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

One more Steve. I also love this verse in James 1:12 (like in the Message here – I think it will encourage you) “Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.”

Tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. "When you tell the truth, justice is done, but lies lead to injustice. Thoughtless words can wound as deeply as any sword, but wisely spoken words can heal. A lie has a short life, but truth lives on forever." Proverbs 12:17-20

Continually, daily, gently leading you.. 24/7/365. Yeah, cuz that's what a relationship with Him is like! Totally exciting! An adventure. "The Lord will guide you always...

You will be like a well watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." Isaiah 58:11
Spring up O well, within my soul, spring up O well and make me whole. Help me know the way I am to go.
Beloved, so So SO loved are you, so wait in God’s Presence while He reveals Himself to you. So simple ..worship is just prayer set to music. I like to fill my house and other locations with worship – it’s interesting how many people join in.

As you entrust your every concern to the Lord, He’ll receive them into His loving care and keeping. He has a good plan and every breath you take in this walk of faith is a gift from God!

Be refreshed and guided by the Lord as you call out to Him, as you sing to Him of Your Love.
WORSHIP destroys WORRY. Are you worried or discouraged? Think of something you are grateful for and thank Jesus for that today!
Need some guidance or clarity of vision? Never underestimate the power of God when you pray, praise and worship!
“The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
Isa. 58:11 nkjv
People around us are often hurting and confused. What a blessing it is daily to not wake up confused. You don’t have to wake up that way and Christ can comfort or heal you when you are hurting. Living in this very broken world requires great confidence.. yes, boldness on your part and that requires prayer.
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.“ ~ Paul, Ephesians 1:18
"Be confident of this: that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Phil 1:6
You might have thought that you were finished..totally done so to speak, believer. But you really ain’t yet. If we’re here on earth.. we’re still unfinished property of a King that is never neglectful and never forgets us. I am a work in progress. I pray that we can cooperate with Him in His finishing plan.
Before you go somewhere..pray. Before you answer someone else’s angry words towards you, trust Jesus and pray in His Name. Before you work or travel, pray. Before you minister to someone from the word of God.. simply pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you whenever you speak or serve.. no not in some spooky sorta way. He ain’t religious or like that. Before you partner in your profession, or go out with.. or marry a so called growing believer.. inquire of God and pray. Facebook.com/shareJesus
