Let's talk about hunger and applying--scarfin' down, feeding healthy and then exercising.

When was the last time you thought about different types of hunger?
It's interesting to me that with physical hunger.. it literally increases in you when you neglect feeding yourself. Duh! You already knew that, but it’s totally the opposite with spiritual hunger which increases when you feed it. So why not feed that hunger biblcially, healthy, and then go exercise? You know we all need both!
Hey, I challenge you to feed and feast on the Word of God daily. Tasty! Satisfying! Strengthening! Listen, the harder the biblical command the more joy, excitement, blessing, and gladness there is in obeying it.
Obedience is related to true happiness. Obedience is related to hunger in you.. sure, it starts there.
Obedience is related to integrity or winsome honesty. It’s also related to personal habit.. we don’t debate or ignore it, we just habitually avoid sin and do it with God’s wisdom.. cuz too many people try to apply it divorced from this kind of wisdom which would be a real bad witness. God has never done anything that he’s done.. that way. Do it by His Holy Spirit’s power, not your own.
The world says shut up and go away but God says stand up and come close.. in His Word. Why? Cuz your opponents might begin to look up and apply his word.
All through history we can see that God’s people went against what was sinfully accepted with the world.. they went against the “in,” vogue, flow of the world. So I dare you to live 24 / 7 / 365 counter-culturally as a sold-out Christian with no spiritual compromise!
I double-dog dare ya to prayerfully meditate upon these verses...

But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. James 1:22-25

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

..not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect. Titus 2:10

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16

But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24

Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you. 1 Corinthians 11:1-2

Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble... 2 Peter 1:10

Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me. ~ Paul, 1 Corinthians 4:16

Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:16

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Romans 13:14

..for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light. Ephesians 5:8

..but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.. Hebrews 12:1
