How in world is it...

It challenges me inside. If you tend to be one who digs the Law please also dig balancing it with more than mere words about God’s Love.
Are you more into courtesy than control, or perhaps visa versa? Know that help is there for ya cuz Christ, our prime Example was and still is “full of grace and truth” ..not just full of one.
"You can love a man to Christ, but you cannot bully him into salvation. I never heard of a soul that was scolded to the Savior." ~ C.H. Spurgeon
Have you heard of one? And you can even keep on lovin’ a believer closer to Christ and towards a healthy Bible-teachin’ church, cuz all of them indeed are equally loved. Love must be sincere.
"Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good." ~ Paul
Why is it that some so called Christians who emphasize love most often, walk in it the least? Prayin’, Lord, never wanna be like that. Help us be real and walk like You walked.
Have you been passing through some deep waters or a storm of some kind? Have you been too busy for Christ, too distracted, cold-blooded and legalistic? Be still. Ears open. Repent cuz ..you’re probably still blind to all the people you’ve literally hurt by your lame example. If your husband or wife try to train you to push people around to earn favor from God, don't submit to them. Just prayerfullly appeal with respect and submit to the Word of God instead.
How long do you think it will take for them to feel like going to church, or serving in a ministry, or to even pray again after watching how you manipulate and pressure people “in the name of Jesus”? Board the clue bus. He wouldn’t do that. Christ never bad-mouths or pushes people to become a workaholic to gain favor from God. He doesn’t want anyone too busy earning for time alone with Him.
Real Christianity instead of all that that is passed off as such… is a walk with Jesus as Lord, a sacred trust, an abiding in Him and involves freely receiving from Him what we need moment by moment. He said come. He said His yoke is easy. He said learn from Him.
Christ wants us all to know this. He wants us to live and walk surrounded by a consciousness of His lead and His love. He said, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” John 15:9
You know we can pray on the go anywhere and at any time. It doesn’t have to be out loud or happen in a certain physical position like on your face. The Lord encouraged us to stop and pray. “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13). The purpose of all prayer is so that God will be glorified. Imagine how that realization can change our prayer life.
Are you striving in the flesh, all uptight, hurting, nervous, or pretty worried about what will happen in your future?
Limit your time on TV, on the web, and watching all the bad news. Meditate upon the Good News instead.
The Lord hasn’t said IF to you, but rather "WHEN you pass through the waters..." At some point, we will all go through the strong currents of life. But God is also saying, “Don’t be afraid! I’ll be with you; and you’ll never, ever go under!” Isaiah 43:1-2
If you’ve experiencing the pain of rending and a broken relationship in or outside of a church, just remember that God loves you deeply and He has promised to never leave you or push you like some puffed up or calloused legalism.
Listen, Christ is your peace. Stretching might be good for your outer tent so to speak, but you don’t have to do any yoga or repeat some dumb mantra just to find peace. Simply abide in Christ and pray. Repent and appropriate. By faith draw from HIS Person, power and peace. See John 14:27
When you feel kinda down or weary from the battle of everyday life, you’re the perfect candidate to be accepted by God to receive forgiveness, strength and power from Him. See Isaiah 40:29 in its context.
Doesn’t the God who created the universe out of nothing and put all the stars in place, have the power to take care of your situation?

The peace of God that passes all understanding is far more than just “having a good day” What is it? It's God’s “shalom” to any and all who will call upon the Name of Jesus. Shalom is a wonderful Hebrew word that means completeness, wholeness, and blessing for the total person. Want this? You must be born from above. kurtwvs.tumblr.com

With one hand reach up to Jesus and with the other ..bring a friend!

"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved." ~ Paul 10/1romans

Believing prayer and bold evangelism are inseparably linked together, and listen ..that won't change 'til we go home.

What lost person have you been both prayin' for and sharing Christ with lately? Please be encouraged to do one, or better yet.. fo both for the glory of God.  www.facebook.com/shareJesus

Husbands love your wives.

You know that ..sayin' it's the easy part. But perhaps you'll still wanna add to my list below? Sets of four words that can change your marriage, believer-dude...

"No unwholesome word proceed.." Eph. 4:29
What color of roses?
I agree with ya!
Honey, please forgive me.
Auto silenced my phone.
Tell me more, dear!
Totally hearin' your heart.
Shoppin' together!.. let's go.2
Yes, you look excellent!
I'll buy that later.
Prayed with the kids.
You are right, sweetheart!
Just handwrote this note.
Click, the TV's off!
Sure, I'll stay home.
Dishes and vacuuming.. done.4
Indeed, let us dance!5
"Husbands love your wives." Eph. 5:25
Turning, God unsin me.
Happy wife, happy life!
"Submitting to one another.." Eph. 5:21

1 Feels like a fate far worse than death.. sittin' there on a sunny day, inside with other dudes as she tries on one "outfit" after another.
2 "A happy marriage is the union of two good forgivers." ~ Ruth Bell Graham
3 Debt and financial stress are two of the biggest marriage killers. Let them not! Pray together bout that car. Yes, no secrets or bad-surprises. Agree to first agree with her beforehand on every major purchase.
4 I tell my friends that I feel so alergic to housework ..and I do! But stop and think about it. Sometimes the results afterwards are so worth it. Not sayin' go vacuume with strings attached. Ask yourself.. How much does she work? Is she employeed somewhere like you are? Is it fair to have more work added on top for her, but not for you?
5. Livin' in Europe, it took me a while to learn that my wife likes to dance with me at wedding receptions ..and at home in the kitchen a bit ...even though I ain't so good at it. Might be that way for you and your wife. Ask. I'm not sayin' go to a nightclub to drink gobs and rock out with her. Not smart. Nightclubs (and bars) are the church perverted. They wouldn't even exsist if Adam didn't fall. They have their form of fellowship - tears in the beer. Music of celebration. Illixer of comfort.. etc. Don't need it. But God says there's.. "A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." Eccl. 3:4. Sure, you know there'll be great joy and rejoicing in heaven. You know that romance started in the heart of the universe so to speak.. in God's heart! Jesus is the most winsome of all grooms - your Groom - and you believers are the bride - His bride, so get over it guys. If you go do a study on dance, you'll see how great dance can be in worship unto Him. I think that's the primary purpose of it. God says, "Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!" Ps. 149:3. "And David danced before the Lord with all his might." 2 Sam. 6:14
6. Couple, seek out, find, and stay planted in a healthy Bible-teaching church with a born-again spiritual minded believer as pastor there who lives the life and loves winnin' people to Christ. You know how they say that the Christian couple that stays in the word and prays together ..stays together. Simple. It's good! Personally, I learn gobs about my wife (her trials, emotional state, struggles, frusterations, worries, fears, and kindnesses) and learn about the Lord too, when she and I simply pause and pray together in ..to the Father in Jesus' Name. Listen, it's one of the most intimate things that you two can do together. BTW: Your sex life (and all the other areas of your married life) with your spouse will not lack the supernatural blessing of God if together you both put Christ first.

Pitiful and incomprehensible demoralization ..defined.

http://kurtwvs.tumblr.com/post/111522799108/pitiful-and-incomprehensible-demoralization-thats

Remain, be, and stay curious about what's really so—yes, cultivate a love for the truth as well as for what really works effectively out there (wise application).

What have you tried out there and discovered is helpful in sharing your faith?

"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious."  – Albert Einstein

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." 4/7proverbs

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.." ~ Paul, Romans 1:16

Please know that the Bible is true, the Koran ain't, and our good and loving God ain't at all the same as warring Allah. Think about it; Mohammed is very much dead and was buried in Medinah. His body is still there rottin' away. I don't need to make jokes about him, or about sincere militant followers who are following the Koran to pull off terrorist attacks. It's always sad when wicked men die.

Jesus Christ is very much alive. Sure He also died, was buried outside Jerusalem.. but He is alive again (there were over 500 eye witnesses) and He's now sittin' at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven. Gunna soon return for His own. So, who do you really want to live for, and follow?.. a dead corpse of a very violent man, or a kind and living Person of love.. who is 100% God and deeply cares about you?

"Know this in the last days perilous times will come, for men will be ..brutal, haters of good." 2 Tim. 3

Please know that Jesus can easily quicken the mortal bodies and put the heads back on those Christians who have been murdered for their faith. He's been loyal for us, so let's all be faithful unto death for His glory! As we watch evil Isis and other Islamic fanatics wrongly take more and more territory for their cause of hate, I pray that we the Church will rightly take more and more ground so to speak ..for Christ much greater Cause of love. I pray that God will bless you; that He will meet your needs, fill / refill you with His passion and use you for His glory today. I pray that He will reveal His great love more and more.. that He will give each of us His clear perspective, holy thoughts, firm assurance, and good attitude as well. I pray that God will give us His wisdom and sense of urgency too. Amen!

Compassion is not just feelin' like you really care. Yup, it's not just "caring," it's caring enough to go do something significant cuz it's needed.

Compassion is not some "good energy." It's not just "pity" or some other inner feeling of kindness or charity. Compassion is pity plus some positive biblical action in reaching out to help a person where they really need it.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.." Mister or Ms Christian (Eph. 2:10).

If you desire to be great, you must learn to be humble.

Seek to serve rather than to be served, to understand more than to be understood. God indeed loves you and He is your Source. He can so easily meet all your needs.. as He promised to do.

So expect zero from man emotionally or provisionally—hey, you'll never feel disappointed.

If we want self-fulfillment, we should seek the fulfillment of others. If you want to be happy, don't seek happiness directly. Bless the Lord and others. If we want to see a harvest.. if we really want to see Jesus save lost people, we need a burden for them, we need to earnestly ask, we need to live a no-compromise-life in Christ, we need to tactfully sow seeds of truth and love, and we need to clearly share the Gospel. Yes, we need to pray expecting God to move. You can do this. Be encouraged! God can use and keep you.

We step forward n grow, not backward n digress.
We advance in faith, not retreat in unbelief (that'd be a dumb move).
We unite by charity, not divide by selfishness.
We're emboldened, not embittered.
We "leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture" not failing to "go after the one which is lost" (Luke 15:4).
We are to love all people, not hate em.

God votes that every man repents, believes, and is saved. The devil votes that every man will simply put it off (not deciding to turn n trust Christ) and be damned. And man casts the final deciding vote.  facebook.com/shareJesus

It's really cool that our Lord will never force us, push us, coerces us, pressure us, manipulate us, or for gain drive us against our will.

However, He by the Holy Spirit will as a good Shepherd gently lead us according to His Word ..doin' what's best for us. So grateful for the Bible.

Of course worshiping, obeying, and serving the Father is real good for all of us, as well as tactfully doing righteous outreach for the lost. Like that!

Just one spark can prove more about gun powder than all the books in every library on this planet. Just one explosion can.. more than any literature that's been painstakenly written by mere man on this subject.

Just one spark of authentic biblical revival can prove more about God and His love for people than all the books in every library on this planet. Just one explosion if ya will ..CAN.. more than any literature that's ever been painstakenly or easily written by mere man on this subject.
"Of the Samaritans our Lord said, 'Ye worship ye know not what,' let him not have to say to us, 'Ye know not what ye ask.' The word 'revive' wears its meaning upon its forehead; it is from the Latin, and may be interpreted thus—to live again, to receive again a life which has almost expired; to rekindle into a flame the vital spark which was nearly extinguished. When a person has been dragged out of a pond nearly drowned, the bystanders are afraid that he is dead, and are anxious to ascertain if life still lingers. The proper means are used to restore animation; the body is rubbed, stimulants are administered, and if by God's providence life still tarries in the poor clay, the rescued man opens his eyes, sits up, and speaks, and those around him rejoice that he has revived. A young girl is in a fainting fit, but after a while she returns to consciousness, and we say, 'she revives.' The flickering lamp of life in dying men suddenly flames up with unusual brightness at intervals, and those who are watching around the sick bed say of the patient, 'he revives.'" C.H. Spurgeon
Revival is given to people who praying for it. Yes, to believers who ask and perhaps fast as the Spirit leads them. It happens on earth as a result of simple proclamation of living truth as well as with the humble receiving of God's living truth.
Today we need this more than air. Earnestly, honestly, whole-heartedly seek God for it. But you ask where? Easy. A true revival is to be looked for in the church of God. Why not? Can it happen outside the building? Yup, and it will. But the Church is the one gig that Jesus left here for us sinners. He didn't leave behind a cool coffee hangout, or some lame law firm, or a yoga studio, or a chain of fast-food restaurants. Nope. Not sayin' look in any certain church denomination or with any certain preacher or pope. I wouldn't say that at all.
Should such an authentic revival happen ..rather than some nominal shakin', jerkin' and weirdly quakin', back-breath-poser kind of fake-revival happen.. I mean be granted to deacons and church elders.. what completely different men this would make of them! The church would become winsome and lovely.
It ain't about religion and never has been - the God who revives has never been that way. He loves people!!!.. and has never been stiff or in-love-with manipulation or worthless traditions or non-helpful legalistic rules.
While a true revival in its essence belongs only to the repentant, born again people of God (read John 3), it always ..without cost to man.. spreads God's extremely valuable blessing around to others. Yes, spreads it around for the other sheep who are not yet of this fold. God has always been a missionary kinda God... He also really wants to help others in regions beyond.
And such an outpouring of reviving-grace could actually lead to a nationwide or worldwide spiritual awakening where lost, totally dead-inside kinda people are woke up into life. Yup, also born from above inside. Think about this. If you drop a rock down into a lake those h2o rings from that splash will widen and spread continually, go smoothly, widen rapidly.. until the farthest reaches of that lake, even the very corners of the lake ..if it has corners.. will soon feel the influence of that one splash on their shores. Biblical revival can happen again. Let the Lord revive a believer and very soon their family, their friends, their classmates, coworkers, and neighbors will ..if open to truth.. receive a share of that ginormous benefit; for when a Christian is revived, they will pray more fervently for sinners. Simple to-the-point kinda prayers of faith.
Will You not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in You? 85/6 Psalm . Bible
Come, let us return to the Lord; for He has torn us, that He may heal us; He has struck us down, and He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us... 6/1-6 Hosea
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple... 19/7 Psalm
When real Christians (and you know there are so many who just call themselves such..) are really revived they live more consistently without the hypocracy. They in prayerful and practical ways make their homes, workplace and gatherings more holy, more joyous, and more happy. Guess what.. this leads the ungodly around em to envy them, and to enquire after their secret. "Man, what have you been smokin', usin' or drinkin'? How and where did you get that? Dude, in this moldly, boring, dank and skankey job here ..WANT SOME OF THAT NOW!"
"Father, for thy promised blessing,

Still we plead before thy throne;
For the time of sweet refreshing
Which can come from thee alone.
"Blessed earnests thou hast given,

But in these we would not rest,
Blessings still with thee are hidden,
Pour them forth, and make us blest.
"Wake thy siren bering children, wake them,

Bid them to thy harvest go;
Blessings, O our Father, make them;
Round their steps let blessing flow.
"Let no hamlet be forgotten,

Let thy showers on all descend;
That in one loud blessed anthem,
Myriads may in triumph blend."
If a hardened, base, or very rank ungodly man steps on into a so called Bible congregation where all the once musty, gripey, fussy, complaining, and grumpy saints are now revived.. that sinner will not all of a sudden feel tired and go to sleep under the sermon. Won't happen. The spark has turned into a blaze and the fire so to speak is burning out of control.. out of the control of carnal, worldly, and religious men. Not that Christians there will lose control of themselves as many leaders today have often taught. No, no! Won't happen! Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. But real revival fires so to speak.. will indeed spread and grow to bless people all around that location no matter how many religious leaders try to stop or harness it for selfish financial gain. Listen, GOD LOVES YOU, YOU CAN KNOW HIM INTIMATELY ..and personally i was in a biblcial revival before - the so called Jesus Movement. Just sayin'.. i'm an up close, first-hand eyewitness. Saw it happen in and from Costa Mesa California and it can happen again. Turn. It could even start with you right there.  facebook.com/shareJesus

Trust in the Lord, and do good. —Psalm 37:3

Christ is our primary Source for provision, protection, guidance and daily optimism. It's cuz of the redemption that is available in Jesus alone. He is our reason for hope!
People come and go, they change, they could give a flip at times, they can let us down. And we tend to let ourselves down at time as well. Our world is broken - we can see this when we see the news and look around. People really need a deep conviction inside that there is a source of joy, provision, anointing, purpose, peace, lasting salvation, and real love.. upon they can turn and depend upon.
Are you feelin' kinda down today? Psalm 37:1-8 in the Bible gives really positive actions that we can take as sort of an antidote if ya will.. to pessimism, negativity, and discouragement. Want your mood and life lifted higher in a good way? Pause and talk to God for a moment.. or longer. Trust in the Lord, do good, dwell in the land, feed on His faithfulness (v.3); delight in the Lord (v.4); commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him (v.5); rest in the Lord, wait patiently for Him, do not fret (v.7); cease from anger, forsake wrath (v.8).
P.  I humble myself and open the door for Your great grace and love, Father. Lord God, You are my "True North" so to speak and that's the direction I really wanna head in today - north. Trying harder not to head South just doesn't work for me. It leaves me feeling so frustrated. My old fleshly nature has a pull, has influence on me at times. Hate that. But Your Spirit is much stronger, so please refill me with Your Spirit and help me to walk in the Spirit. I want to bring my buds North with me too - home to You. We can't manufacture hope, peace, joy and a lot of different things that we need. But even if we tried it to produce these things, it wouldn't be real to save anyone. I turn to You away from wrong doin's, and by faith please help us to find hope for the future and all these other things in You ..yes, because of what Jesus has done for us on the Cross at Calvary. We know that You are walking beside us

Happy Valentines Day To Our First-love!

P. We praise and worship You, Lord, We thank you for the weather and for our friends today. And I thank you for bringing us this far and trust you to bring us ..as Your body.. all the way home to You. You alone are God! We love you Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It's Valentines here, but You are our First-love and O so faithful. We don't turn to this world or to people or to Government or to companies to meet our needs. We turn to You for our help, our provision, our protection and for power to witness for You. Thanks for allowing some struggles in our lives - don't like em at all, but we trust you and do want to grow. Thanks for Your strong and living Word. Father God, You are my HELP, my HERO and my HOPE! Amen.

So SO glad that 33 years ago tonight Liney Renea said “Yes.”

I couldn't have asked for a better wife. What a blessing she is.. daily! Really don’t deserve to have her by my side—she’s the greatest Christian I know. Today, I'm feeling very blessed inside. All glory to God for guiding and providing for us. I've made some dumb choices along the way that's for sure. But I hope that she will always love the Lord more than she loves me cuz she’s His property after all, and He's never let either of us down. Yup, we’ve both been bought at a price ..when Jesus went to the Cross. Do you know Him in a personal kinda way?

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” ~ Paul, 1 Corinthians 6:20

How cool is that! Listen. Go. Live and tell it!

How wonderful to know You! Jesus, what can I say, how awesome to walk with You ...wanna be close.. and to tell others! I ask that You'll do that again, yes, please use me.. use us in a way that glorifies You.

Feelin' grateful! I just had the excellent privilege of praying with a man from Algeria named Nabila ..who got it.. who heard the simple Gospel and just repented as he gave his life to Christ. There's no better place, or company, or thing, or person to give it to! Please do pray for him and his family.

No politician on the left or on the right can do that for anyone. I like to vote, but Christ alone can save and wash us clean. He alone is the One who can make us loathe what we used to love (destructive sin habits), and love what we used to loathe. Religious men try to change sinners like me from the outside in, but Jesus is gentle and changes from the inside out. Have you invited Him in.. as Savior and Lord (the CEO of your decisions)?

"If a commission by an earthly king is considered a honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?" —David Livingstone

"It is the only happy life to live for the salvation of souls." —D. L. Moody

I pray that God gives you His grace today in a very special way as well... that He helps, empowers, equips, and guides you with His Word so that you can understand more and more how great His Love is towards you, and even help you know His specific will today so that you can keep on growin' in your relationship with the Lord. Amen.

I'm thinking about Christ's words in Matthew 10:32, "So everyone who acknowledges me before men (not always so easy until we pray - takes some boldness), I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven."

"And this is the record, that God hath given (FREE, not sold) to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." 1 John 5:11, emph. mine

Listen, you too have a story. So share His story, and share yours - people will so relate to you then with the questions or fears or struggles you had..or how you felt. Tell em how you took steps of faith and came to know Jesus. What a joy!!! Fun!

"Let's quit fiddling with religion and do something to bring the world to Christ." —Billy Sunday

Jesus told us to come "learn of Me" but, "The Scriptures were not given to increase our knowledge (primarily), but to change our lives!" —Dwight L. Moody

"Be assured, if you walk with Him and look to Him and expect help from Him, He will never fail you." —George Muller

You already know how one of the very best ways to "build a bridge" when sharing some Scriptures with a person who does not have a relationship with Christ is through telling your own personal testimony in their language. facebook.com/shareJesus

Once was afraid ..no more.. cuz it was fully paid

To trade the debt that I really owed..
He came from heaven's throne.

My name upon His heart,
my shame upon His shoulders.

It was by the death that Jesus died..
I was raised to life.

No greater love.
No fairer Name.

It's the living Christ alone. Yes, His agape-charity towards me... that makes me wanna go.. that compels me to open my mouth! www.kurtwvs.tumblr.com

It affects me and my emotions indirectly.. the injustice and inequities at my friend’s workplace.

Life, school teachers, people in society, everyday circumstances, and bosses in the workplace ain't always fair. Adam's fall impacted us all in a bad way. I hate it when I see a middle manager or employer miss it by a mile to one of their employee's hurt… when the real dishonest wrongdoers in the same department get away with their repeated breaking of protocol that keeps costing the company tens of thousands of dollars.

So frustrating when the boss won't listen to reason. Perhaps they have a hidden kickback or love-interest with that wrong-doer. I don't know, but just saw this happen again today in a dear friend's life (a Christian) and in their office.

Man, it was such a no-brainer when you look at the facts.

I prayed for them all earlier, but now I feel really bad for my harassed friend who hates working there and has started a new job-hurt . I expressed to my friend how sorry I felt for all the junk like that that happens too often down here. It just makes me feel sick inside and kinda ticked that their HR office would listen to such a twister of the truth, such a wrongdoer along with his dim middle manager. Liars get hell, but soon believers will be in heaven. Justice will eventually prevail.
Hey, I think we've all seen this type of stuff with loved ones or personally before.

Doesn't it inspire and motivate you to wanna go tell your friends about the Cross and Christ's paid-for-offer that will soon literally free us from this jive completely ..for all eternity? It does me.

But for the grace of God go I. I'm still far from perfect, but sin and sinners sinning really bug me at times ..especially when it's a so called pastor hurting people under him. I feel something ought to be said. Something ought to be done.. to protect those getting mowed down. So, at times I've spoken up and it has cost my family before. It's cost others a lot too.

My sin and other's sin just really hurts at times.

I don't sin as much or like I used to because of God's sanctifying work on the inside.

But sin stinks.. but all true believers will one day soon be completely delivered from the presence of, the penalty of, and the power of all sins.

I feel like a debtor who has a debt to pay. And for the born again Christians living here is the closest we will ever get to experience the grief and pain of hell. We only experience a little bit compared to what many will have. But for the nominal believer or unrepentant Atheist this life here is the closest they will ever get to experiencing heaven.

I'm not sure about what inequities, or level of injury of whatever sort, or reversals, or injustice, or painful loss that you've personally experienced, but the Bible says, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal weight of glory that far outweighs them all."  2 Cor. 4:17

Think it not uber-bazaar regarding those fiery trials that are there to try your heart and walk. Yes, we are admonished not to be surprised by em. Why? Well, cuz it is so So SOOO easy to think they're uber-strange, "not for me," and just be caught off guard by em. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.." 1 Peter 4:12

Now I'm checkin' out these words, "After they had preached the Gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, 'Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.'" Acts 14:21-22

Lord God, I wish I had some words and more understanding. Is there a way that I could protect people from hurt and mistreatment better? Please help me comfort, minister to, and encourage my friend who feels very discouraged right now due to another's lies in the workplace.

This present life of hassles is infinitely shorter than the blink (yes, 1/6th of a nano second) of an eye when the Rapture happens. This life is so brief compared to eternity. All that happens here ..the good, the bad and the ugly.. is not much at all compared with the eternal sublime beauty, comfort, purpose, and joy that we believers will soon experience in our Father's house.

I want to keep praying though I don't feel like it at times and direct my mind to linger on heaven for a while each day, and then give thanks to the One who made it possible-by the great injustice of dying on a cross to pay the penalty for our sins.

Father God, I forgive that dweeb and his boss who hurt and harassed my friend - please open eyes and send more grace. Please convict, expose, grant repentance to, and save them so they really don't have to go to where liars and deceptive cheats go. And I praise You for sending Jesus who took it for me all over 'til dead. My own sins helped put him up there at Calvary. Hate that - wanna hate sin, Satan and selfish works of the flesh all the more. I praise You Jesus for enduring that cruel humiliation, all that injustice, the severe pain, and the unspeakable agony of the crucifixion ..just to win an eternity of light and blessing and comfort and hope for me and my friends. Thanks Lord for forgiveness. facebook.com/shareJesus

Feelin's ain't everything. They're fickle, but I chose to be happy and I just feel that way!

Me kinda thinks you'd have to have lived under a rock for a long time ..if haven't clapped along with or heard Pharrell William's popular secular song called, Happy. I haven't heard his other tunes, but what a great sound! And it's still popular today cuz the words really tapped into what the masses are longing for.

True happiness, joy, and success in this life aren't found in the accumulation of more or better "things."  Nope. It ain't in cutting edge tech or widgets. These three things above are there for you when ya find Jesus Christ—when you worship God finding His specific will for your life ..as well as in simply doing that! Yup. To obey is better than all religious sacrifices and vain busyness.

I chose to follow and worship the Lord and now I am happy.

"O clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph and songs of joy!" 47psalm.amp

Can you think of even one greater ministry, activity, or calling in this life than to be a worshipper of God ..on His terms? There just ain't any anywhere. Wanna become happy? You're not one of those with the gift of complaining instead ..are you?

"Applause, everyone. Bravo, bravissimo! Shout God-songs at the top of your lungs! God Most High is stunning.." msg

Been down or somewhat depressed? Want to be happy? Refocus. Give thanks in (not for) all circumstances. Be humble and teachable. Sow to the Spirit instead of to what tears you down. Limit your time with the carnally minded, with those lustfully proud, with the worldly rebelious, with those constantly negative thinkers. Hang tight with those balanced and spiritually minded regarding what the Bible says. Lift your vision. Take your eyes off of you, off of comparing here, off of the lame happenings around you.

"Come, everyone, and clap for joy! Shout triumphant praises to the Lord! For the Lord, the God above all gods, is awesome beyond words.."ltb

Heard it once said that there's a lot of power in negative thinkin', sure there is, as well as found in maintaining a PMA. I know that a good attitude is imperative.

You know that some people trust in positive thinking too much and become very unrealistic, but just ask an athlete about denyin' self.. about 'declining.' Man, I think happiness can FIRST be described by what a believer declines (meditate upon psalm 1) ..and then by what they delight in. In a chapter about the best kind of happiness God talks about deleting, denying, ad declining all the de-edifying junk.

"Blessed is the man who walks NOT in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord."

"Happy" can't be gained by seeking it directly (though that's exactly what many do and want the most..), but happiness will indeed overtake you by seeking something much greater.. first. Happy people think of others, rather than themselves too much. They are more upverted (prayerful) and outverted (which speaks of evangelism and discipleship) than inverted.

"..your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." 6/33mat.nlt

I want you blessed. I want you knowin' the will of God and doing just that - His will. I really want you happy, content, joyful, fulfilled and with all your needs met. Sure, lots of people have enough of Jesus to make em decent, but not enough to make them dynamic. They've settled the Salvation issue, but not the Lordship issue. Please allow Jesus to be Lord of all. Christians that move the world, don't allow the world, the crowd, any fallen minion, or even their fleshly nature to move them. facebook.com/shareJesus
