F4S: When you make a commitment, you can build some hope. When you keep it, you actually build trust. Doing the later is more important.

When you make a commitment, you can build some hope. When you keep it, you actually build trust. Doing the later is more important.

God's gracious loyalty and faithfulness to us needs to be ..simply must be.. the inner motivation for us to be loyal and faithful by that very same grace.

You won't please God by moving in with anyone who says they'll eventually marry you when they get the money together. That would be dumb as a donkey would do, no, much dumber. Why even date someone, Christian single guy or girl, when you know they are not even saved and there's really no chance that you'd ever want to marry that person?

"If marriage is going to reach its potential, it will require an all-out investment by both husband and wife." ~ Dr. James C. Dobson

Jude (1:21) says, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God..” Friendship in the Lord is a deep oneness. It's about real love that develops when two people, speaking the truth in love to one another, help each other in a journey together towards the same horizon. Trust that God has good plan for you.

"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.." Eph. 5:25

"A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that makes ashamed is as rottenness in his bones." Prov. 12:4

“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.” ~ Timothy Keller

Let there be real love and righteous romance!

"Keep yourselves in the love of God"
  Is what He says to do;
  Feeding on His Word each day,
  You'll find His love anew. ~ Hess

Listen, if you need wisdom and guidance.. if you want to renew your love for Christ and others, just review His love for you. Ask and stay in His love letter the Bible.
