We have to work now so Ebola “is not the world’s next AIDS” said the CDC director yesterday...

..in a top-level forum* in Washington, D.C. "The Ebola outbreak is unlike anything he's seen since the AIDS epidemic."

Been musing over his words some. You know it's no time to live in fear, but just imagine a person knowin' the cure (if one did) while happily livin' out their days as a healthy vibrant life right in front of terminally ill Ebola-ridden people.. but never even tellin' em how they could be cured from that sickness!
It kinda makes me think of the Church and our duty. Makes me think of the love we are called to express.

There is a time to despise sin, sickness, Satan, and selfishness ...and that's every single day! There is "a time to be silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace." Ecclesiastes 3:7

"God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." 1 John 5:11

Jesus came the first time so that we each could enjoy His peace internally on this earth and then through all eternity. Jesus is coming the second time so that we each could also enjoy His peace externally on this earth in the millennium and through all eternity. Think about it. Do you have His peace inside that passes all understanding? It ain't a worldly sorta peace.

He really is returnin' soon, we need to be ready.. and it all starts with a right vertical relationship that leads to right horizontal relationships.

Well, having a sin problem is of course much worse than having an Ebola problem because someone with Ebola could still be forgiven during those 18 days of sickness and then go on to heaven.. or they could even possibly survive and have some more years added.

All have a sin issue that quickly needs to be addressed. Christ (the Jesus we read about through the Bible..) is the only Cure for us sinners and all can know Him ..if believers don't remain silent. This is the time to live clean and free ..exemplary.. and to open our mouths so that others can go free.. yes, so they can be cured spiritually.

The Bible says, "Live an exemplary life among the natives so that your actions will refute their prejudices. Then they'll be won over to God's side and be there to join in the celebration when He arrives. Make the Master proud of you by being good citizens." 1 Peter 2:12-13 msg.

The Scriptures make it clear that our days here are numbered. There is a day coming, and who among us really knows when that will be?.. when we are outta here.

We as believers aren't to worry about that at all. We are taught to live sold-out to Jesus and simply trust that our caring Father knows when that day will be. He'll take care of all we need.

This doesn't mean that we all take up base jumping off of cliffs, or try swimming with great whites, or start entering the apartments of those with Ebola.. putting our lives at unnecessary risk. But this does mean that we each recognize the fact that our lives here totally belong to God. He is in charge and we rest in His loving hands.

"Since his days are determined, the number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass." Job 14:5

Nice thought—I like that. It means that until God is finished with us here, nothin' will happen to us. Yes, it means that we could indeed be mocked, or spit upon, or struck, or persecuted but we are basically indestructible (can't be killed physically) until the Lord wants us to come home.

That's so comforting to know. But it also speaks to the fact that when our number is up, it's up. No mortal or Obamacare can reverse that. When that day comes, there is nothing we can do to turn the clock back. It also means we have such limited time to serve the Lord while we're here so there needs to be a sense of urgency about what we say and do. We have the Cure (the Gospel of Jesus Christ) and many around us still do not. Real love says do something good a.s.a.p. to get those spiritually ill within reach of the Cure they need most.

God loves you. He sees and thinks about you a whole lot! You are on His heart and mind today. He greatly values you, and wants to protect you. Your life isn't a mistake. Don't let it be in vain. He can provide, and guide, and bless… but if physical death came for you today (and I'm not wishing that for anyone..), would you be ready to enter heaven as your home? Hell wasn't made for people. It was made for fallen angels so it's uber-dumb and fully illogical when people opt to go there.

God is so SO merciful and has better things—He wants you with Him instead. If you are not ready, you would face a certain judgment because God is also holy and justHe can't deny Himself. Sadly not all choose the Lord's way even though eternal Judgment is not what he wants to happen to human. Please choose Life right now! The Lord will forgive and empower us for His Task. facebook.com/shareJesus
