Nope, gobs of zeros and ones just can't meet all our needs.
Think about it. We are the most connected generation of people and yet 76 million Americans say they have no one to confide in. Americans admit to being lonely, empty, guilty, and afraid to die. People are thirsty for meaning, for life.. and really hungry for significance.
How come? We have technology don't we? With 14.3 Trillion webpages live on the web, the size of the Internet is 672 Exabytes - 672,000,000,000 Gigabytes (GB) of accessible data.. yet some needs aren't addressed by it. The internet has 43,639 Petabytes of web traffic in one year.* It's 48 Billion webpages indexed by Google, and 14 Billion webpages that are indexed by Microsoft's Bing. It's over 9,00,000 servers.. owned by Google Inc. The Internet is over 1 Yotta-byte now. That's the total data stored out there and we are active with it, but how do we address so many remaining needs?
Mobile wearables ..on people's faces, on wrists, and inside of you like in their earlobes etc.. they're here now (and I like some of em). Hurts, grief, mourning, fretting, anxiety, stress, and baggage are still here as well. And the mark of the beast will be here pretty soon. Do not like, please don't accept it!
Everyone on earth should really have a cell phone updating them within 36 months I've been told, yet people still feel the ache of persistent loneliness. Today at breakfast with Walt Wilson** (the founder of GMO; a former Apple exec who closely worked with Steve Jobs in the start-up phase at Apple, helping the company grow to $5 billion in revenue..), he told me that knowledge in the Silicon Valley, where he lives, is doubling every year. Yet.. many are turning to prescription drug misuse, to other kinds of drug abuse, and many people are turning to other things to address the hurt, the ache, the stress, the excess baggage. Did you know that 800,000 to a million people die by suicide every year, making it the 10th leading cause of death worldwide. True. I sadly just this week heard that one of my young friends in Berlin ..that I haven't talked with in a couple months.. recently checked-out permanently breaking our hearts as well as her family's hearts. Tragic!!!
Please beloved, never do that causing your friends and loved ones pain. There is Help and better options available for you.

Listen, tech and social networks and widgets and smartwatches and apps and wearables and a plethora of temporal new devices are not enough, but Jesus Christ is enough. His grace is sufficient. You never need to end it and be snuffed out early. He loves you deeply. God has a plan for you. Christ can meet every need that you have and will have. Ya just gotta know Him today!
